Well that is no good at all! Are you only unable to make calls through the DIGITS apps or are you also unable to make calls on the phone itself?

I can make calls with both my main phone, and my second phone with a duplicate SIM. However I cannot make or receive any calls with the app.

Thanks for clarifying. Since you switched from one phone that had DIGITS built in to another phone that has built in DIGITS, I wonder if you have to re-enable the DIGITS capability. Can you please follow these steps and let me know if it still shows that you have DIGITS enabled? If so, turn it off and on again then try to make a call using the DIGITS web portal/windows app.
- Tap the Menu icon, then tap Usage and plans.
- In the DIGITS section, tap Unlock.
- Tap the on/off switch to enable DIGITS on your device.
- If you receive an error message, update the T-Mobile app to the latest version.

I do not see a Digits section under Usage and Plans.

That is odd. You were doing this in the T-Mobile app on your phone correct? Can you try logging into https://mydigits.t-mobile.com/ and click the DIGITS line that you have the Note 8 on and scroll down to see if you have the unlock button?

about. However I noticed that my T-Mobile id no longer had permission to
use my line. I re added it and now it works. An odd issue for sure.

Nice catch! I am not sure how that happened but that would definitely cause this issue. Thanks for sharing what you did to fix it here so that others will know what to do if they have the same issue.
