Same here on my Galaxy S7, for the past couple of days I've noticed an increase in dropped calls after Nougat. People claim they can't hear me when they call me but when I make a call it seems just fine. Not sure what's going on and also what happened to the support discussion threads seems they have all just disappeared.

I am having "unable to hear issue" frequently and I mostly observed between samsung to samsung calls.

Hey folks! Sorry to hear that your phones have been acting up since the update. Out of curiosity, have either of you had a chance to do a master reset or cache partition wipe on your phones?

I did not do any factory reset as I have lots of data on my phone. But I am sure its happening after FOTA update. It was working fine with previous SW.

I totally get not wanting to lose your data! With large updates like this, a master reset helps make sure everything is in working order for the new SW. Definitely back up your data as snn_555 that way you don't lose anything.

Master resetting sometimes does more harm because it can bring back other bugs from before. I'll just keep monitoring my call quality and get back to you guys on it.

I agree and its not only my phone. I have 2 othere friends using S7 have the same issue after Nugget upgrade.

A reset cannot bring back what you do not restore. You aren't bringing back the old version, you are resetting it to the new version, which has already been written to your recovery partition. So, starting fresh with that clean install is the best method.

OK, I just did factory reset and tried several call. I still have the same issue with same frequency. Factory reset did not help.

It's not a warranty issue, you can plainly determine the Nougat update has affected the phone. T-Mobile and Samsung need to work on fixing this bug, plain and simple.

You can wait on a fix (you know how long it takes for OEMs to issue such Android revisions) or you can have the phone replaced.

I think replacing the phone will not fix the phone as its not HW issue. Its
SW problem and tmo need to release fixed FOTA.

I appreciate you folks hanging in there. I know an issue like this has got to be maddening. I am sorry to hear that a master reset did not fix your issues Jignesh
Can I have you both try disabling VoLTE on your phones and attempting to place some more calls? I would like to see if this issue is reproducible over 2G/3G/4G.
- Tap Phone > Keypad tab.
- Tap More options > Settings.
- Tap Call > Voice over LTE settings.
- Tap Do not use VoLTE.

I have tested the steps you sent. Voice heard clearly on 3G (Non VOLTE).
But whenever I am back on VoLTE same issue happens again.

For me it's not just voice issues, it's also like my data is intermittently dropping as well. I know during Beta 4 testing a lot of people as well as myself had the same issue. Our work around was going into the manufacturer settings and disabling band 12 in the LTE band settings, does anyone at T-Mobile think this would be a viable work around again till you can properly address the issue? And FYI I did a factory reset and wiped the cache immediately after I updated to official Nougat OTA.

Data dropping occurs to my S7 as well but its not as frequent as the voice issue. I am more concerned about voice issue as mostly all the time the called party cannot hear me. I have not tried disabling Band 12 yet as I am getting issue in Band 4 too and disabling band 12 will not add carrier aggregation while using data in B4+B12 area.

Well I disabled band 12 last night, so I'll test it out today and see if there is any noticeable improvements, and let you know.

Disabling band 12 under the LTE settings did not provide a fix to the issue Lauren like it did in the beta test.

I got call from TMO after I raised ticket. According to them it was some network issue in the whole area which affected all VoLTE call. They fixed it and I havent experienced the issue since then. Thank you.
