I was with TMobile for over 10 years, and finally can't put up with all the drop calls I am getting from the poor signals in my area. So I quit TMobile around Nov 2015 and port my number to Verizon. Last week, I called TMobile requesting an unlock code for my phone, and they responded: I wanted to unlock my phone so I can use this phone which I paid off on Verizon... What can I do?

After review of the account we have determined that the device is not in use with the corresponding mobile number. T-Mobile policies and procedures state that the device must be in use on the mobile number requesting the unlock code.
