Manage messages

Add SMS service center number

To add or change the SMS service center number, follow these steps:

 

  1. From Home Screen goto and select Messages icon
  2. Hit Menu key
  3. Scroll to and select Options
  4. Scroll to and highlight Service Center Field
  5. Enter +12063130004
  6. Hit Menu key
  7. Select Save

 

 

Delete picture messages (MMS)

To delete picture messages (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Messages icon.
  2. Scroll to and select the picture message you want to delete.
  3. Press the Menu key.
  4. Scroll to and select Delete.
  5. Select Delete.

 

 

Delete text messages (SMS)

To delete text messages (SMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Messages icon.
  2. Scroll to the message that you want to delete.
  3. Press the Menu key.
  4. Scroll to and select Delete.
  5. Select Delete again.

 

 

Save pictures received in a message (MMS)

To save a picture you received as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Messages icon.
  2. Scroll to and select the picture message you want to read.
  3. Press the Menu key.
  4. Choose from the following options:
    • Save Image
    • Save Audio
    • Save Ringtone
    • Save Video
    • Save Voice Note

Send messages

Send a group text message (SMS)

To write and send text messages (SMS) to a group, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Messages icon.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Scroll to and select Compose SMS Text.
  4. From To, Enter the name or phone number of the contact.
        o    Contacts from the contacts list appear below.
  5. Scroll to and select the contact.
  6. Scroll to and select OK.
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 for additional contacts.
  8. Enter a message.
  9. Press the touchpad.
  10. Select Send.

 

 

Send a new picture or video in a message (MMS)

To take a new picture or video and send it as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, open the Camera or Video Recorder..
  2. Frame the subject.
  3. Press the touchpad to take the picture or video.
  4. Press the Menu key.
  5. Scroll to and select the Envelope icon.
  6. Scroll to and select MMS.
  7. Perform one of the following actions:
    • To send to a phone book contact, scroll to and select a contact.
    • To send to an unlisted contact:
  8. Scroll to and select [Use Once].
  9. Select Phone.
  10. Enter the phone number.
  11. Press the Menu key.
  12. Select Continue.
  13. Scroll to and select the desired size.
  14. Scroll to and select OK.
  15. Scroll to Subject.
  16. Enter the subject.
  17. Scroll to the message box.
  18. Enter the message.
  19. Press the Menu key.
  20. Select Send.

 

 

Send a saved picture or video in a message (MMS)

To send pictures or videos you have saved on your device as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to and select Media.
  3. Scroll to and select the picture or video you want to send.
  4. Press the Menu key.
  5. Scroll to and select Send or Share.
  6. Scroll to and select Send As MMS.
  7. Scroll to and select a contact.
        Note: To send to an undefined contact:
  8. Scroll to and select [Use Once].
  9. Select Phone.
  10. Enter the phone number.
  11. Press the Menu key.
  12. Select Continue.
  13. Scroll to Subject.
  14. Enter the subject.
  15. Scroll to the message body.
  16. Enter the message.
  17. Press the Menu key.
  18. Select Send.
