Insert / remove SIM card

To insert or remove the SIM card, follow these steps:

  1. Lift the back cover using the notch located on the bottom-edge of the phone.
  2. Remove the battery by lifting it out of the compartment.
  3. Adjust the SIM card so the gold contacts are face down and the notched end is closest to the battery. Slide the SIM card into the SIM card slot.
  4. Insert the battery by aligning the gold contacts on the battery with the gold contacts inside the phone. Lower the battery back into position.
  5. Press the back cover onto the phone until it snaps into place.

 

To remove the SIM card, follow these steps:


  1. Lift the back cover using the notch located on the bottom-edge of the phone.
  2. Remove the battery by lifting it out of the compartment.
  3. Adjust the SIM card so the gold contacts are face down and the notched end is closest to you. Slide the SIM card out of the SIM card slot.
  4. Insert the battery by aligning the gold contacts on the battery with the gold contacts inside the phone. Lower the battery into position.
  5. Press the back cover onto the phone until it snaps into place.

Mobile Device Unlock

Mobile Device Unlock

The Mobile Device Unlock code allows the device to use a SIM card from another wireless carrier. This may be necessary when traveling internationally. To enter the Mobile Device Unlock code, follow these steps:

 

Important: Stop if you receive an error message. The device may lock permanently if you enter the incorrect code multiple times.

 

  1. See if your phone is eligible to unlock: Mobile Wireless Device Unlocking.
  2. Contact Customer Care to request the Mobile Device Unlock code for your phone.
  3. Verify the IMEI by typing *#06#.
  4. Insert a Non-T-Mobile SIM & turn the phone on.
  5. The phone will automatically prompt you to enter the code into an  empty field.
  6. Tap in the empty field above Unlock &  Dismiss.
  7. Input the unlock code provided by T-Mobile.
  8. Tap the Back button to remove the keyboard from screen.
  9. Tap Unlock.
  10. The phone will display  Network Unlock Successful.
