Connect HotSpot

Connect - Using a Wi-Fi enabled device

To connect your Wi-Fi enabled device to your Mobile Hotspot, follow these steps

 

  1. If necessary, remove the back cover from the device and locate the sticker with the device's SSID and Password.

  2. Enable Wi-Fi on your connecting device and scan for available networks.
  3. The Samsung LTE Mobile HotSpot PRO will appear as a secured network named "T-Mobile Broadband##"
  4. Enter the default password from the sticker to establish the connection.
    Note: If you have changed the Wi-Fi password so it is no longer the default, enter the new password.
  5. If your service is not already set up, open a web page on your computer and follow the on-screen prompts to set up your service. Otherwise, open a web page and browse.

 

 

Connect - Using Browser

To access your HotSpot via a browser, follow these steps: 


  1. Once device is connected to the HotSpot, open a new browser window.
  2. In the browser’s Address field, enter either:
  3. From the HotSpot’s Web portal, locate the Password field
  4. Enter the HotSpot’s Administrator (Web portal) password.
    • The default Administrator (Web portal) password is admin.
  5. Select Apply > OK.

 

 

Connect - Using Tethering

While the device can be used to tether through USB, is must first be connected to a computer via Wi-Fi in order to enable USB tethering.  Please see: Unable to wired tether through USB: Samsung LTE Mobile HotSpot PRO

APN & data settings

To add a new APN, follow these steps:

 

  • Access the Web Portal and click Configuration in the top toolbar.
  • In the APN section, enter the Profile Name and APN information for a new connection.

To change the band between 3G, 4G, and LTE, follow these steps:

 

  1. Access the Web Portal and click Configuration in the top toolbar.
  2. Click the drop-down menu next to Mobile data.

    • LTE/GSM/WCDMA
    • GSM/WCDMA
    • LTE only
    • GWM only

Scan & connect to Wi-Fi network

To scan for and connect to the Mobile HotSpot from a connecting device, follow these steps:

 

On your Wi-Fi enabled device, open the application you use to connect via Wi-Fi and select the SSID of your Mobile Hotspot (T-Mobile Broadband##). Enter the Wi-Fi password and connect. After successful login, your Mobile Hotspot’s Internet connection is available to the connected device.
