Bluetooth

Pair Bluetooth device

To turn on Bluetooth and pair with a headset or other device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Main Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Connection settings.
  4. Select Bluetooth.
  5. If necessary, press the Right or Left Navigation key to enter the ‘Bluetooth’ tab.
  6. Select Bluetooth switch . ‘On’ now appears below ‘Bluetooth Switch.’
  7. Scroll to and select Search for devices.
  8. Scroll to and select the desired Bluetooth device.
    • Note: The search must end to select the desired Bluetooth device. Therefore, wait for the search to end or else select Stop.
  1. Select Yes to accept the numeric passkey.
  2. On the other device, select the pairing.
  3. Select Yes or No to accept or decline incoming security.
  4. Select Always ask or Always connect.
  5. Press the Right Navigation key to access the ‘Paired Devices’ screen.

 

 

Turn on / off Bluetooth

To turn on or turn off Bluetooth, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Main Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Connection settings.
  4. Select Bluetooth.
  5. Select Bluetooth switch. ‘Off’ now displays under ‘Bluetooth switch'.

Emergency Alerts

Turn on / off Emergency Alerts

To turn on or turn off Emergency Alert messages that push to the device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Main Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Messaging.
  3. Scroll to and select Emergency alerts.

GPS

Turn on / off GPS

To turn on or turn off GPS, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Main Menu. Scroll to and select Settings.
  2. Scroll to and select Connection settings.
  3. Scroll to and select GPS.
  4. Select GPS Status. ‘On’ now displays under ‘GPS Status.’

Network

APN & data settings

To set the Access Point Name (APN) and turn on data settings, follow these steps:

Manual network selection

To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Main Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Connection settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Network selection.
  5. Scroll to and select Manual.
  6. Scroll to and select the desired network.

 

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

 

 

Switch 2G / 4G / LTE

To change the band between 2G, 4G, and LTE, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Main Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Connection settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Network Mode.
  5. Select one of the following options:
    • Automatic
    • 2G only
    • 3G only

 

 

Turn on / off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.

 

To turn on or turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Main Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Select Profiles.
  4. Select Flight.
  5. Select Yes.

 

 

Turn on / off data roaming

To turn on data roaming, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Main Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Connection settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Data roaming.
  5. On now appears under ‘Data roaming.’

 

To turn off data roaming, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Main Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Connection settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Data roaming.
  5. Off now appears under ‘Data roaming.’
