Block messages or spam from a number

To block incoming text or picture messages (SMS or MMS) or mark them as spam, follow these steps:

Manage messages

Add SMS service center number

To add or change the SMS service center number, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messaging.
  3. Press the Menu sk4Gmenu.png key.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Under the TEXT MESSAGE (SMS) SETTINGS section, view the Message center phone number.

 

 

Delete picture messages (MMS)

To delete picture messages (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messaging.
  3. Scroll to and tap the message you want to delete.
  4. Press the Menu sk4Gmenu.png key.
  5. Tap Delete.
  6. Tap Yes.

 

 

Delete text messages (SMS)

To delete text messages (SMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messaging.
  3. Locate and touch and hold the message you want to delete.
  4. Tap Delete.
  5. Tap Yes.

 

 

Save pictures received in a message (MMS)

To save a picture you received as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messaging.
  3. Tap and hold on the picture.
  4. Select to save attachment and it will save to Gallery

Send messages

Send a group text message (SMS)

To write and send text messages (SMS) to a group, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messaging.
  3. Tap Create new message.
  4. Enter the recipient’s name or phone number in the To field or select one of the displayed contacts.
    • Note: repeat this step to add multiple contacts.
  5. Enter the text of your message.
  6. When finished, tap Send.

 

 

Send a new picture or video in a message (MMS)

To take a new picture or video and send it as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messaging.
  3. Tap Create new message.
  4. Tap the To box to enter the name of the contact you want to send to.
  5. Tap the desired contact.
  6. If desired, tap in the text message box to enter a message.
  7. Tap the Picture icon to attach a picture.
  8. Tap Capture picture.
  9. Frame the scene and tap the Camera icon.
  10. Tap Save.
  11. Tap Send.


To send video

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messaging.
  3. Tap Create new message.
  4. Tap the To box to enter the name of the contact you want to send to.
  5. Tap the desired contact.
  6. If desired, tap in the text message box to enter a message.
  7. Tap the Picture icon to attach a picture.
  8. Tap Capture video.
  9. Frame the scene and tap the Record icon.
  10. When done, tap the Stop icon.
  11. Tap Save.
  12. Tap Send.

 

 

 

Send a saved picture or video in a message (MMS)

To send pictures or videos you have saved on your device as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Scroll to and tap Messaging.
  3. Tap Create new message.
  4. Tap the To box to enter the name of the contact you want to send to.
  5. Tap the desired contact.
  6. If desired, tap in the text message box to enter a message.
  7. Tap the Picture icon to attach a video.
  8. Tap Videos.
  9. Select and tap the desired video.
  10. Tap Send.
