Set custom sounds

Notifications

To change the notification sounds, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Menu, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Sound profiles.
  3. Scroll through and tap one of the following:Tap the Edit icon.
    • Normal
    • Silent
    • Vibration
    • Driving
    • Outdoor
  4. Tap the Call alert type field.
  5. Select one of the following:
    • Melody
    • Raising melody
    • Vibration then melody
    • Vibration and melody
    • Vibr. & raising melody
  6. Tap Save.

 

 

Ringtones

To change the ringtone, follow these steps:

Ringtone for all calls

 

To set ringtones from Settings

 

  1. From the Menu, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Sound profiles.
  3. Scroll through and tap one of the following:
    • Normal
    • Driving
    • Outdoor
  4. Tap the Edit icon.
  5. Tap Voice call ringtone.
  6. Scroll through and tap the ringtone you want to use or tap the up arrow to view folders.
  7. Select from the following:
    • Music:
      1. Scroll through and tap the music file you want to use.
      2. Tap Save.
    • Sounds:
      1. Scroll through and tap the sound file you want to use.
      2. Tap Save.
    • Voice list:
      1. Scroll through and tap the voice file you want to use.
      2. Tap Save.

 

 

To set ringtones from Files

  1. From the Menu, tap Applications.
  2. Tap Files.
  3. Tap Sounds.
  4. Scroll to and select from the following:
    • Browse MegaTones to download ringtones from MobileLife Web.
      1. Scroll to search and select the category and ringtone.
      2. Select Yes or scroll to and select PREVIEW or BUY NOW.
      3. Tap Set As.
      4. Tap Individual ringtone.
    • Music & Sounds to download music and sounds from MobileLife Web.
      1. Scroll to search and select the category and ringtone.
      2. Select Yes or scroll to and select PREVIEW or BUY NOW.
      3. Tap Set As.
      4. Tap Individual ringtone.
    • Music to select saved music files.
      1. Scroll to search and select the category and ringtone.
      2. Select Yes or scroll to and select PREVIEW or BUY NOW.
      3. Tap Set As.
      4. Tap Individual ringtone.
    • Sounds to select preloaded ringtones.
      1. Scroll through and tap the music file you want to use.
      2. Tap Set as.
      3. Tap Individual ringtone.
    • Voice list to select voices.
      1. Scroll through and tap the ringtone you want to use.
      2. Tap Set as.
      3. Tap Individual ringtone.
    • Browse HiFi Ringers to download ringtones from MobileLife Web.
      1. Scroll through and tap the voice file you want to use.
      2. Tap Set as.
      3. Tap Individual ringtone.

 

Ringtone for calls from one contact

Transfer

Transfer music or sounds to use

Some devices require you to transfer music, sounds, or other audio files to the device in a certain way for it to be used for ringtones and notifications. To transfer these files, follow these steps:

 

  • Connect the device to a computer using the USB cable.
  • From the Home screen, slide down the Notification bar.
  • Verify the USB connection type is Disk drive. If not, tap it and select Disk drive.
  • On the computer when the Removable Disk window appears, click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer.
    Note: If the Removable Disk window does not appear automatically, check that the USB cable is completely plugged in, or try another USB port.
  • Click OK.
  • In the Windows Explorer window that opens, double-click the Media folder.
  • Double-click one of the following folders:
    Note: If the folder that you want is not there, then right-click in the Media folder. Click New, Folder. Enter the name of the desired folder above. Double-click the folder you just created.
  • Ringtones
  • Alarms
  • Audio/Notifications (Go under the Audio folder and then the Notifications folder)
  • Copy the music or sound files from your computer to the desired folder.
  • When you are done copying, click the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray.
  • Click Safely Remove Mass Storage Device.
  • Click OK.
  • Disconnect the device from the computer.
