Back up contacts

To back up your contacts, follow these steps:

 

Contacts will automatically sync when the device has been signed into a Gmail account.

 

 

Back up media & pictures

To back up your media and pictures, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu “Menu_key.png” key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap USB settings.
  4. Tap Mass storage.
  5. Connect the included USB cord to the phone, then to your computer.

    Note: If prompted, tap Connect USB Storage on the device..
  6. On your computer, a Portable Device window appears. Click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer.

  7. Click OK.
  8. On the computer, double click the folder in the phone’s drive to access your files.
  9. Drag and drop the file from the folder onto your computer desktop or into another folder.
  10. When you are finished, click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the lower right-hand corner of your computer screen.
  11. Click Safely Remove USB Mass storage Device.

 

 

 

 

Restore data

To restore backed up apps, follow these steps:

 

Apps can be downloaded again the next time the device has been signed into a Gmail account.

 

 

Restore contacts

To restore backed up apps, follow these steps:

 

Contacts will automatically sync when the device has been signed into a Gmail account.

 

 

Restore media & pictures

To restore backed up media and pictures, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu “Menu_key.png” key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Applications.
  4. Tap USB settings.
  5. Tap Mass storage.
  6. Connect the included USB cord to the phone, then to your computer

  7. Slide down the Top menu bar and tap on the USB Connected title.
  8. Select Mount.
  9. On your computer, a Portable Device window appears. Click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer.

  10. Click OK.
  11. On the computer, double click the folder in the phone’s drive to access your files.
  12. Drag and drop the file from your computer into the memory card folder.
  13. When you are finished, slide the Top bar down again and tap on Turn off USB Storageand then tap Turn Off.
  14. Click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the lower right-hand corner of your computer screen.
  15. Click Safely Remove USB Mass storage Device.
