Bluetooth

Pair Bluetooth device

To turn on Bluetooth and pair with a headset or other device, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap to select (turn on) the Bluetooth check box.
  5. Tap Bluetooth settings.
  6. Tap Scan for devices.
    • Note: The device searches for Bluetooth devices and displays a list under Bluetooth devices.
  7. Tap the Bluetooth device you want to pair with.
  8. If required, enter the password, and tap OK.
    • Note: The default password is 0000 or 1234.
  9. Tap Pair.
    • Note: The other device accepts the pairing.

 

 

Turn on / off Bluetooth

To turn on or turn off Bluetooth, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap to select (turn on) the Bluetooth check box.

GPS

Turn on / off GPS

To turn on or turn off GPS, follow these steps:

 

  1.   From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2.   Tap Settings.
  3.   Tap Location & security.
  4.   Tap to select (turn on) or clear (turn off) the Use GPS satellites check box.

Network

APN & data settings

To set the Access Point Name (APN) and turn on data settings, follow these steps:

 

  1. If you have a battery saver app, check its settings. Some battery saver apps disable the APNs or data connection when the battery level gets low. You need to adjust these settings or uninstall the app to keep the data connection working.
  2. Check settings and APN:
  3. Tap the Menu key or the three-vertical-dot icon.
  4. Tap Reset to default.
  5. From the Home screen, press Menu.
  6. Tap Settings.
  7. Tap Wireless & networks.
  8. Turn off Airplane Mode or Flight Mode.
  9. Turn on Mobile Network (if available).
  10. Tap Mobile Networks.
  11. If you see the following checkboxes, turn them on:
    • Data Enabled
    • Use Packet Data

 

Manual network selection

To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:

 

  1.   From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2.   Tap Settings.
  3.   Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Mobile networks.
  5. Tap Network operators.
  6. Tap Search networks.
  7. Tap the desired network.

 

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

 

 

Switch 2G / 4G / LTE

To change the band between 2G, 4G, and LTE, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Mobile networks.
  5. Tap Network mode.
  6. Tap one of the following options:
    • GSM/WCDMA auto
    • WCDMA only
    • GSM only

 

 

Turn on / off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.

 

To turn on or turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

 

From the Home screen

  1. From the Home screen, press and hold the Power key at the top of the phone.
  2. Tap Airplane mode to turn on or off.

 

From the menu

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap to select (turn on) or clear (turn off) the Airplane mode check box.

 

 

Turn on / off data roaming

To turn on or turn off data roaming, follow these steps:

 

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Mobile networks.
  5. Tap to select (turn on) or clear (turn off) the Data roaming check box.

Wi-Fi

Delete Wi-Fi network profile

To delete a saved Wi-Fi network profile, follow these steps:

 

  1.   From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2.   Tap Settings.
  3.   Tap Wireless & networks.
  4.   Tap Wi-Fi settings.
  5.   Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to delete.
  6.   Tap Forget.

 

 

Scan & connect to Wi-Fi network

To scan for and connect to available Wi-Fi networks, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi settings.
  5. Tap to select (turn on) the Wi-Fi check box, if necessary.
  6. Press the Menu key.
  7. Tap Scan.
  8. Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
  9. If required, enter a key or password.
  10. Tap Connect.

 

 

Turn on / off Wi-Fi

To turn on or turn off Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap to select (turn on) or clear (turn off) the Wi-Fi checkbox.
