Turn on / off touch tones (DTMF)

To turn on or turn off touch tones when dialing, follow these steps:

Turning off DTMF tones (tap tones) is not supported.

Your phone can send a number to the network as dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones. DTMF tones are used to communicate with automated systems that require you to type a number such as a code, password, or credit card number. DTMF tones are on by default. You cannot turn off DTMF tones.
