Manage messages

Add SMS service center number - Android 2.2

To add or change the SMS service center number, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, touch the App Drawer App+Drawer.png.
  2. Touch Messages.
  3. Press the Menu key.
  4. Touch Settings.
  5. Touch Service center.
  6. Enter +12063130004.
  7. Touch OK.

To add or change the SMS service center number, follow these steps:

 

  1. To view the messaging service center number, follow these steps:
  2. From the Home screen, touch the App Drawer App Drawer Icon.png
  3. Touch Messages.
  4. Press the Menu key.
  5. Touch Settings.
  6. Touch Text messages (SMS).
  7. View the Service Center number.

 

 

Delete picture messages (MMS)

To delete picture messages (MMS), follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, touch the App Drawer App+Drawer.png.
  2. Touch Messages.
  3. Locate the message you want to delete.
  4. Touch and hold the message.
  5. Touch Delete.
  6. Touch OK.

 

 

Delete text messages (SMS)

To delete text messages (SMS), follow these steps:

 

Delete all text messages

  1. From the Home screen, touch the App Drawer App+Drawer.png.
  2. Touch Messages.
  3. Press the Menu Menu+button.png key.
  4. Touch Delete.
  5. Press the Menu Menu+button.png key.
  6. Touch Select all.
  7. Touch Delete.

 

Delete individual text messages

  1. From the Home screen, touch the App Drawer App+Drawer.png.
  2. Touch Messages.
  3. Press the Menu Menu+button.png key.
  4. Touch Delete.
  5. Touch the check box of each message you want to delete.
  6. Touch Delete.

 

 

Save pictures received in a message (MMS)

To save a picture you received as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. Press and hold the image.
  2. Tap to Save Image.

Send a new picture or video in a message (MMS) - Android 2.2

To take a new picture or video and send it as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, touch the App Drawer App+Drawer.png.
  2. Touch Messages.
  3. Press the Menu Menu+button.png key.
  4. Touch Compose.
  5. Touch the To field.
  6. Enter the phone number or contact name.
    Note: Contacts appear as you enter text.
  7. If the contact appears, touch the contact.
  8. Press the Menu Menu+button.png key.
  9. Touch Attach.
  10. Touch Photo.
  11. Touch Camera or Camcorder.
  12. Frame the subject.
  13. Touch the Camera icon to take the photo or shoot video.
  14. If desired, edit the photo or video.
  15. Touch Done.
  16. Touch the message text field.
  17. Enter the text of your message.
  18. Touch Done.
  19. Press the Menu Menu+button.png key to view more editing features, add attachments, and select additional recipient and delivery options.
  20. When finished, touch Done.
  21. Touch Send.

 

 

Send a new picture or video in a message (MMS) - Android 2.3

To take a new picture or video and send it as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, touch the App Drawer App Drawer Icon.png
  2. Touch Messages.
  3. Touch Compose message.
  4. Enter the phone number or contact name in the To field.
  5. If necessary, touch Next.
  6. If desired, touch Addtext.
  7. Enter the text of your message.
  8. If necessary, touch Done.
  9. Touch thePaperclip icon.
  10. Touch Photo or Video.
  11. Touch Camera or Camcorder.
  12. Frame the subject.
  13. Touch the Shutter icon to take the photo or record video.
  14. Touch Done.
  15. Touch Send.

 

 

Send a saved picture or video in a message (MMS) - Android 2.2

To send pictures or videos you have saved on your device as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, touch the App Drawer App+Drawer.png.
  2. Touch Gallery.
  3. Locate and touch the folder that contains the video or photo you want to send.
  4. Touch and hold the video or photo.
  5. Touch Share.
  6. Touch Messages.
  7. Touch the message text field.
  8. Enter the text of your message.
  9. Touch Done.
  10. Press the Menu Menu+button.png key to view more editing features, add attachments, and select additional recipient and delivery options.
  11. When finished, touch Done.
  12. Touch the To field.
  13. Enter the phone number or contact name.
    Note: Contacts appear as you enter text.
  14. If the contact appears, touch the contact.
  15. When finished, touch Send.

 

Send a saved picture or video in a message (MMS) - Android 2.3

To send pictures or videos you have saved on your device as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Camcorder app, press the Menu Menu Icon.png key.
  2. Touch Video quality.
  3. Touch MMS (176 x 144).
  4. Touch the Arrow to close the camera settings.
  5. From the Home screen, touch the App Drawer .
  6. Touch Gallery.
  7. Locate and touch the folder that contains the video or photo you want to send.
  8. Touch and hold the video or photo.
  9. Touch Details.
  10. View the Size. It must be less than 1 MB to send it as MMS. If the file plus the text you are sending is more than 1 MB, you should send it as email or try to re-record it at a lower resolution.
  11. Touch Cancel.
  12. Touch and hold the video or photo again.
  13. Touch Share.
  14. Touch Messages.
    Note: If you see an error ‘Message size limit reached’, then the video size is too large. You can try to send it as email instead, or you can re-record it using the steps in Send video – Record new.
  15. Enter the phone number or contact name in the To field.
  16. If necessary, touch Next.
  17. If desired, touch Add text.
  18. Enter the text of your message.
  19. If necessary, touch Done.
