Auto-update time (NITZ)

Automatic update of time and date (NITZ) checks for the correct time while the device turns on.

 

Note: When you enter a different time zone and turn on your device, it automatically updates to the new time. This feature is network-dependent and may not be available in all areas.

 

 

  1. To turn NITZ on or off, follow these steps:
  2. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Scroll to and tap Date and time.
  5. Tap to select or deselect Automatic.

 

Set time & date

To set the time and date, follow these steps:

 

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and tap Date and time.
  4. If necessary, tap to deselect and turn off Automatic.
  5. Tap Set date.
  6. Tap the Plus plus.gif or Minus minus.gif icons to set the current date.
  7. Tap Set.
  8. Tap Set time.
  9. Tap the Plus or Minus icons to set the time.
  10. Tap Set.
  11. If desired, tap to select Use 24-hour format.
  12. If desired, tap Select date format.
  13. Select one of the following options:
    • MM/DD/YYYY
    • DD/MM/YYYY
    • YYYY/MM/DD
