Insert / remove SIM card

To insert or remove the SIM card, follow these steps:

 

  1. Remove the back cover using the notch located at the top of the phone.t699 sim1.JPG

  3. Remove the battery using the notch located at the bottom of the battery compartment.t699 sim3.JPG
  4. Slide SIM card into place with gold contacts facing down and angled edge facing top of phone.t699 sim4.JPG
  5. Slide into rear of compartment.                                    t699 sim5.JPG
  6. Replace the battery while ensuring the gold contacts are aligned.t699 sim6.JPG
  7. Replace the back cover.

 

To remove the SIM card, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the back cover using the notch located at the top of the phone.t699 sim7.JPG

Mobile Device Unlock

Mobile Device Unlock

The Mobile Device Unlock code allows the device to use a SIM card from another wireless carrier. This may be necessary when traveling internationally. To enter the Mobile Device Unlock code, follow these steps:

 

Important: Stop if you receive an error message. The device may lock permanently if you enter the incorrect code multiple times.

 

  1. See if your phone is eligible to unlock: Mobile Wireless Device Unlocking.
  2. Contact Customer Care to request the Mobile Device Unlock code for your phone.
  3. Verify the IMEI by typing *#06#.
  4. Insert a Non-T-Mobile SIM & turn the phone on.
  5. The phone will automatically prompt you to enter the code into an  empty field.
  6. Tap in the empty field above Unlock &  Dismiss.
  7. Input the unlock code provided by T-Mobile.
  8. Tap the Back button to remove the keyboard from screen.
  9. Tap Unlock.
  10. The phone will display  Network Unlock Successful.
