Insert / remove SIM card

To insert or remove the SIM card, follow these steps:

 

  1. Push the back cover up and lift off to remove it.

  2. Remove the battery by lifting it out of the compartment.

  3. Turn the SIM card so that the gold contacts face down and the notched end is closest to you. Slide the SIM card into the SIM card holder.

  4. Insert the battery by aligning the gold contacts on the battery with the gold contacts inside the phone. Lower the battery into position.

  5. Press the back cover onto the phone and slide back until it snaps into place.

To remove

  1. Push the back cover up and lift off to remove it.

View free SIM space

To view free space on the SIM card for contacts or messages, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the main screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Select Personalize.
  4. Scroll to and select Memory settings.
  5. Scroll to and select Memory status.
  6. Scroll to and select Contacts.
  7. Scroll to and select SIM card to view Phonebook memory on the SIM card.

Mobile Device Unlock

Mobile Device Unlock

The Mobile Device Unlock code allows the device to use a SIM card from another wireless carrier. This may be necessary when traveling internationally. To enter the Mobile Device Unlock code, follow these steps:

 

Important: Stop if you receive an error message. The device may lock permanently if you enter the incorrect code multiple times.

 

  1. See if your phone is eligible to unlock: Mobile Wireless Device Unlocking.
  2. Contact Customer Care to request the Mobile Device Unlock code for your phone.
  3. Verify the IMEI by typing *#06#.
  4. Insert a Non-T-Mobile SIM & turn the phone on.
  5. The phone will automatically prompt you to enter the code into an  empty field.
  6. Click/Tap in the empty field above the "Unlock & Dismiss" options (this will display a key pad on the screen).
  7. Input the unlock code provided by T-Mobile.
  8. Click/Tap Unlock.
  9. The phone will display  Network Unlock Successful.
