Internet browser

Add browser bookmark

To add a bookmark to the phone’s browser, follow these steps:

 

  1. If necessary, select all All from the Home screen to expand the Applications panel.
  2. Scroll to the All panel and tap the Browser icon.
  3. Navigate to the page you want to bookmark.
  4. Press the Menu key.
  5. Tap Add to Bookmarks.
  6. If desired, edit the name of the bookmark.
  7. When finished, tap Add.

 

 

Browser cache / cookies / history / passwords

To clear the mobile browser cache, follow these steps:

 

  1. If necessary, select all All from the Home screen to expand the Applications panel.
  2. Scroll to the All panel and tap the Browser icon.
  3. From a Web page, press the Menu key.
  4. Scroll to and tap Options.
  5. Scroll to Clear Browsing Data.
  6. Tap to select or deselect any or all the following checkboxes:
    • Passwords
    • History
    • Cookies
    • Cache
    • Pushed Content
    • Download List
  7. Tap Clear Now.

 


Browser windows open / close

To open a new browser window or close one, follow these steps:

 

  1. If necessary, select all All from the Home screen to expand the Applications panel.
  2. Scroll to the All panel and tap the Browser icon.
  3. On any Web page, tap the Tabs icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
  4. Choose one of the following options:
    • Tap the green Add(+) icon to open a new tab.
    • Tap the red Close(x) icon to close a tab.

 

 

Turn on / off JavaScript

To turn on or turn off JavaScript in the mobile browser, follow these steps:

 

  1. If necessary, select all All from the Home screen to expand the Applications panel.
  2. Scroll to the All panel and tap the Browser icon.
  3. From a Web page, press the Menu key.
  4. Tap Options.
  5. Scroll to Web Content.
  6. Tap the Enable JavaScript check box to turn on JavaScript.

 

 

Zoom in / out

To zoom in and out of a Web page, picture, or e-mail follow these steps:

 

Note: Zoom may not work on Web pages that have been optimized for mobile devices.

 

  1. Access the Web page, picture, or e-mail, then press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to and tap Zoom.
  3. To zoom in, slide your finger up on the Trackpad.
  4. To zoom out, slide your finger down on the Trackpad.
  5. To end zoom and return to normal Trackpad scrolling, press the Menu key and then tap End Zoom.
