Bluetooth

Pair Bluetooth device

To turn on Bluetooth and pair with a headset or other device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Bluetooth settings.
  5. Tap to select the Bluetooth check box to turn it on.
  6. Under Paired devices, tap Find nearby devices.
  7. Under Found devices, tap the device that you want to pair with.
  8. If prompted, enter the PIN or wireless passcode.
  9. Tap Pair.

 

 

Turn on / off Bluetooth

To turn on or turn off Bluetooth, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap to clear (turn off) the Bluetooth check box.

Turn on / off Emergency Alerts

Turn on / off GPS

To turn on or turn off GPS, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Location & security.
  4. Tap to select the Use GPS satellites check box.

Network

APN & data settings

To set the Access Point Name (APN) and turn on data settings, follow these steps:

Manual network selection

To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Scroll to and tap Mobile networks.
  5. Tap Network operators.
  6. Tap the network you want to use.

 

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

 

 

Switch 2G / 4G / LTE

To change the band between 2G, 4G, and LTE, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Scroll to and tap Mobile networks.
  5. Tap to select the Use only 2G networks check box to use only the 2G network.
  6. Tap to clear the Use only 2G networks check box to use the 3G or 4G networks when available.

 

 

Turn on / off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.

 

To turn on or turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap to select the Airplane mode check box.

 

 

Turn on / off data roaming

To turn on or turn off data roaming, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Scroll to and tap Mobile networks.
  5. Tap to select the Data roaming check box.

Wi-Fi

Delete Wi-Fi network profile

To delete a saved Wi-Fi network profile, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi settings.
  5. If necessary, tap to select the Wi-Fi check box to turn on and view Wi-Fi networks.
  6. Scroll to and touch and hold the Wi-Fi network you want to delete.
  7. Tap Forget network.
    Note: You can only delete a network that you had once connected to, or that you had added manually.

 

 

Scan & connect to Wi-Fi network

To scan for and connect to available Wi-Fi networks, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi settings.
  5. If necessary, tap to select the Wi-Fi check box to turn on and view Wi-Fi networks.
  6. Tap the Menu icon.
  7. Tap Scan.
  8. Scroll to and tap the Wi-Fi network to which you want to connect.
  9. If security is enabled, enter the key or wireless password.
  10. Tap Connect.

 

 

Turn on / off Wi-Fi

To turn on or turn off Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap to select (turn on) or clear (turn off) the Wi-Fi check box.
