Back up data

 

Back up apps

To back up your apps, follow these steps:

 

Paid applications are already saved to your Google account. So, you can:

 

  1. After the reset, open Play Store.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Tap My Apps.
  4. Tap your apps that show as Purchased to install them.

 

 

Back up contacts

To back up your contacts, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and tap Accounts and sync.
  4. Under Manage accounts, tap the desired account.
  5. Tap Sync Contacts to turn on or off automatic synchronization.
  6. Press the Menu key.
  7. Tap Sync now to manually sync contacts.

 

 

Back up media & pictures

To back up your media and pictures, follow these steps:

 

  1. Connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable.

  2. From the Home screen, touch the top of the screen and drag down to display the notifications window.
  3. Tap USB connected.

  4. Tap Turn on USB storage.
  5. Tap OK.
  6. On the computer, a Removable Disk window appears. Click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer.

  7. Click OK.
  8. Navigate to the desired folder to access your files.
  9. Select and move or copy and paste the desired files into a folder on your computer.

10. When finished, click the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the lower right corner of your computer screen.

11. Click USB Mass Storage Device.

12. Click Stop.

13. Click USB Mass Storage Device.

14. Click OK.
Note: A Safe To Remove Hardware alert appears in the lower right corner of your computer screen.

15. On the phone, tap Turn off USB storage.

16. Disconnect the phone from the computer.

 

 

Restore data

 

Restore apps

To restore backed up apps, follow these steps:

 

You can re-download apps through Google Playstore upon the next time you sign in using your Gmail username & password.

 

 

Restore contacts

To restore backed up contacts, follow these steps:

 

Contacts are restored automatically upon the next time you log into your Gmail account.

 

 

Restore media & pictures

To restore backed up media and pictures, follow these steps:

 

  1. Connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable.

  5. Tap OK.
