SIM card

Insert / remove SIM card

To insert or remove the SIM card, follow these steps:

 

  1. Slide the release switch and lift the back cover to remove it.

  2. Lift the battery out of the compartment to remove it.

  3. Slide the SIM card into the SIM card slot.

  4. Insert the battery and align the gold contacts on the battery with the gold contacts inside the phone. Lower the battery into position.

  5. Insert the back cover into the slots and press the back cover down until it clicks into place.

Remove

  1. Slide the release switch and lift the back cover to remove it.

  2. Lift the battery out of the compartment to remove it.

  3. Slide the SIM card out of the SIM card slot.

  4. Insert the battery and align the gold contacts on the battery with the gold contacts inside the phone. Lower the battery into position.

  5. Insert the back cover into the slots and press the back cover down until it clicks into place.

Delete SIM messages

To delete SIM messages, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the home screen, tap All apps.
  2. Tap Messages.
  3. Tap Menu.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Tap Text messages (SMS).
  6. Tap Manage SIM card messages.
  7. Tap Menu.
  8. Select Delete all.

 

 

View free SIM space

To view free space on the SIM card for contacts or messages, follow these steps:

Mobile Device Unlock

Mobile Device Unlock

The Mobile Device Unlock code allows the device to use a SIM card from another wireless carrier. This may be necessary when traveling internationally. To enter the Mobile Device Unlock code, follow these steps:

 

Important: Stop if you receive an error message. The device may lock permanently if you enter the incorrect code multiple times.

 

  1. See if your phone is eligible to unlock: Mobile Wireless Device Unlocking.
  2. Contact Customer Care to request the Mobile Device Unlock code for your phone.
  3. Verify the IMEI by typing *#06#.
  4. Submit a new request.
  5. Enter 7465625*638*Unlock Code#.
