Insert / remove SIM card

To insert or remove the SIM card, follow these steps:

 

  1. Insert the SIM ejection tool (or a bent paper clip) into the hole until the SIM card tray pops out.

  2. Pull  the SIM card tray out and place the micro SIM card with the metal contacts facing down into the tray.
  3. Insert the SIM card tray into its slot.

Mobile Device Unlock

Mobile Device Unlock

The Mobile Device Unlock code allows the device to use a SIM card from another wireless carrier. This may be necessary when traveling internationally. To enter the Mobile Device Unlock code, follow these steps:

 

Important: Stop if you receive an error message. The device may lock permanently if you enter the incorrect code multiple times.

 

  1. See if your phone is eligible to unlock: Mobile Wireless Device Unlocking.
  2. From any Home screen, tap the Phone icon.
  3. Verify the IMEI by entering *#06#.
  4. Contact Customer Care to request the Mobile Device unlock code for your phone.
  5. Turn on the phone with the blocked SIM.
  6. The phone displays a screen to enter the unblock code.
  7. Enter the unblock code.
  8. Tap OK.
