Bluetooth

Pair Bluetooth device

To turn on Bluetooth and pair with a headset or other device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps AllAppsicon.jpg icon
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under Wireless & networks, scroll to Bluetooth.
  4. Tap Bluetooth to turn on.
  5. If necessary, tap Search for devices.
  6. On the Bluetooth devices list, tap the device for pairing.
  7. If prompted, enter the password. The default password is 1234.
  8. On the other device, accept the pairing.

 

 

Turn on / off Bluetooth

To turn on or turn off Bluetooth, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps AllAppsicon.jpg icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under Wireless & networks, scroll to Bluetooth.
  4. Tap Bluetooth to turn on or off.

Turn on / off GPS

To turn on or turn off GPS, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps AllAppsicon.jpg icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Location access.
  4. Tap GPS satellites to select (turn on) or clear (turn off) the check box.

Manual network selection

To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps AllAppsicon.jpg icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under Wireless & networks, tap More.
  4. Tap Mobile networks.
  5. Tap Network operators.
  6. Tap Search networks.
  7. Tap the desired network.

 

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

 

 

Switch 2G / 4G / LTE

To change the band between 2G, 4G, and LTE, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps AllAppsicon.jpg icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under Wireless & networks, tap More.
  4. Tap Mobile networks.
  5. Tap the desired network.

 

 

Turn on / off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.

 

To turn on or turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps AllAppsicon.jpg icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under Wireless & networks, tap More.
  4. Tap Airplane mode to turn on or turn off wireless service.

 

 

Turn on / off data roaming

To turn on or turn off data roaming, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps AllAppsicon.jpg icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under Wireless & networks, tap More.
  4. Tap Mobile networks.
  5. Tap Data roaming to turn on or turn off data roaming.

NFC

Read NFC tag

To read the NFC tag information from another NFC device or a printed tag, follow these steps:

 

  1. Turn on NFC if it is turned off.
  2. Gently place the back of your device against the NFC antenna location on the other device or against the printed tag.
  3. When your phone has successfully read the tag, it will play a notification sound.
  4. The content will display on your screen.

 

 

Turn on / off NFC

To turn on or turn off NFC, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps AllAppsicon.jpg icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under Wireless and network, tap More.
  4. Tap the NFC slider to turn on or turn off NFC.

Wi-Fi

Delete Wi-Fi network profile

To delete a saved Wi-Fi network profile, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps AllAppsicon.jpg icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi.
  5. If necessary, tap Wi-Fi to turn on and view Wi-Fi networks.
  6. Scroll to and tap the Wi-Fi network you want to delete.
  7. Tap Forget.

 

 

Scan & connect to Wi-Fi network

To scan for and connect to available Wi-Fi networks, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps AllAppsicon.jpg icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi.
  5. If necessary, tap Wi-Fi to turn on and view Wi-Fi networks.
  6. Tap Scan.
  7. Scroll to and tap the Wi-Fi network to which you want to connect.
  8. If security is enabled, enter the key or wireless password.
  9. Tap Connect.
