Bluetooth

Pair Bluetooth device

To turn on Bluetooth and pair with a headset or other device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu menu.png key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Bluetooth settings.
  5. Tap the Bluetooth check box to turn on Bluetooth.
  6. Tap Scan for devices.
  7. From the list, tap the device with which you want to pair.
  8. When prompted, enter the PIN and tap OK.
  9. On the receiving device, accept the pairing.

 

 

Turn on / off Bluetooth

To turn on or turn off Bluetooth, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu menu.png key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Bluetooth to select or clear the check box.

Emergency Alerts

Turn on / off Emergency Alerts

To turn on or turn off Emergency Alert messages that push to the device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and drag down to reveal the Notifications screen.
  2. Tap the Quick Settings tab.
  3. Tap the GPS check box.

APN & data settings

Manual network selection

To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu menu.png key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Scroll to and tap Mobile networks.
  5. Tap Network operators.
  6. Tap Search networks.
  7. Scroll to and tap the desired network.

 

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

 

 

Switch 2G / 4G

To change the band between 2G, and 4G, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu menu.png key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Scroll to and tap Mobile networks.
  5. Tap Network Mode.
  6. Tap WCDMA only to use a 3G connection only.
  7. Tap GSM only to use a 2G connection only.
  8. Tap GSM / WCDMA auto to use a 4G connection when available.

 

 

Turn on / off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.

 

To turn on or turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu menu.png key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Airplane mode to turn on or off.
    • OR
    • Press and hold the Power key.
  5. Tap Airplane mode to turn on or off.

 

 

Turn on / off data roaming

To turn on or turn off data roaming, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu menu.png key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Scroll to and tap Mobile networks.
  5. Tap Data roaming to connect or disconnect data services.

Wi-Fi

Delete Wi-Fi network profile

To delete a saved Wi-Fi network profile, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu menu.png key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi settings.
  5. If necessary, tap Wi-Fi to turn on and scan for Wi-Fi networks.
  6. Scroll to and tap the Wi-Fi network you want to delete.
  7. Tap Forget.

 

 

Scan & connect to Wi-Fi network

To scan for and connect to available Wi-Fi networks, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu menu.png key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi settings.
  5. If necessary, tap Wi-Fi to turn on and scan for Wi-Fi networks.
  6. Tap the Menu menu.png key.
  7. Tap Scan.
  8. Scroll to and tap the network to which you want to connect.
  9. If necessary, enter the password.
  10. Tap Connect.

 

 

Turn on / off Wi-Fi

To turn on or turn off Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu menu.png key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless & networks.
  4. Tap the Wi-Fi check box to turn on or off.
