Play music or MP3

To play music or MP3s in the music player, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications Applications.png icon.
  2. Tap Music.

 

 

Turn on / off FM radio

Transfer

Transfer music from computer to device

To transfer music files between a computer and the device, follow these steps:

 

Note: To see a list of file formats that the device can play, see Tech specs. [link to How to's for Tech specs]

 

  1. Connect a USB cable to the phone, then to a computer.
  2. On your phone, tap Disk drive.
  3. Tap Done.
    • Note: Some applications may stop running or may become unavailable until you change the connection type or disconnect the phone from the computer.
  4. Your phone is now mounted as a disk drive on the computer.

Proceed with the following steps based on the computer’s operating system: Windows

  1. In the Removable Disk pop-up window, double-click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer.

  2. Double-click to open the folder(s) containing the audio files you want to move to your memory card.
  3. Copy and paste or drag and drop the files into the desired location on your memory card.
  4. When finished, on the computer, close the window for the phone’s disk drive.
  5. Click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon located in the system tray in the lower right-hand corner of the computer’s desktop.
  6. Click Safely Remove USB Mass storage Device.

Macintosh

  1. Double-click the virtual drive icon that appears on the desktop.

  2. Double-click to open the folder(s) containing the audio files you want to move to your memory card.
  3. Copy and paste or drag and drop the files into the desired location on your memory card.
  4. When finished, on the computer, close the window for the phone’s disk drive.
  5. Drag and drop the virtual drive icon onto the Trash/Eject icon.
