Turn off developer options

If developer options are turned on, it can cause red border on the screen, errors when connecting to computers, or other problems. To turn off all developer options, follow these steps:

Change language

To change the language of the device and menus, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Select Phone Settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Languages.

Auto-update time (NITZ)

To set the device clock to automatically update based on what time zone it is in, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Clock.
  3. Scroll to and select Time and date.
  4. Scroll down to and select Auto update.
  5. Scroll select On.
  6. When finished, select OK.


To turn off NITZ, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Clock.
  3. Scroll to and select Time and date.
  4. Scroll down to and select Auto update.
  5. Scroll select Off.
  6. When finished, select OK.

 

 

Set time & date

To set the time and date of the device clock, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Clock.
  3. Scroll to and select Time and date.
  4. Scroll down to the Time field and enter the current time.
  5. Scroll down to the Date field and enter the current date.
  6. When finished, select OK.
