Mobile hotspot via Wi-Fi

Set up mobile hotspot

To set up or configure a mobile hotspot over Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

 

Note: It is NOT possible to configure the following options:

  • Allow/block specific devices
  • Number of maximum device connections

 

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap internet sharing.
  4. If necessary, tap the slider to turn On.
  5. Tap setup.

  6. If desired, tap the Broadcast name field and enter a new Wi-Fi network name (SSID).
  7. If desired, tap the Security type field and select one:
    • none
    • password required (WPA2).
  8. If desired, tap the Password field and enter a new password.

  9. Tap the Done icon.

 

 

Turn on/off mobile hotspot

To turn on or turn off a mobile hotspot over Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap internet sharing.
  4. Tap the slider to turn On or Off.
