Bluetooth

Pair Bluetooth device

To turn on Bluetooth and pair with a headset or other device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Bluetooth.
  4. Touch and slide the Bluetooth slider to On. Your phone automatically searches for other Bluetooth devices.
  5. Tap the device you want to pair with.
  6. If necessary, compare the PIN numbers on the respective devices, if they match, tap ok.
  7. Enter the PIN or passcode, if necessary.
  8. Tap ok.

 

 

Turn on / off Bluetooth

To turn on or turn off Bluetooth, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Bluetooth.
  4. Touch and slide the Bluetooth slider to On or Off.

GPS

Turn on / off GPS

To turn on or turn off GPS, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Location.
  4. Touch and slide the Location slider to on or off.

Network

APN & data settings

To set the Access Point Name (APN) and turn on data settings, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, swipe left to settings.
  2. Scroll to, and tap cellular.
  3. Add New APN: epc.tmobile.com.
  4. Tap Done (checkmark).

 

 

Manual network selection

To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap cellular.
  4. Tap the Network selection field and choose tap to select. The phone will display "Searching..." in the upper left.
  5. Once searching is complete, tap the Network selection field again and tap the desired network.

 

 

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

 

 

Switch 2G / 4G / LTE

Turn on / off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.

 

To turn on or turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap airplane mode.
  4. Touch and slide the Status slider to On or Off.

 

 

Turn on / off data roaming

To turn on or turn off data roaming, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap cellular.
  4. Tap the Data roaming options field.
  5. Tap roam or don’t roam.
  6. Touch and slide the Data connection slider to On or Off.

Wi-Fi

Delete Wi-Fi network profile

To delete a saved Wi-Fi network profile, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi.
  4. Touch and slide the Wi-Fi networking slider to On, if necessary. Your phone automatically searches for available Wi-Fi networks.
  5. Tap the network you want to delete.
    Note: You can only delete a network you have connected to.
  6. Tap the Delete icon on the bottom of the screen.

 

 

Scan & connect to Wi-Fi network

To scan for and connect to available Wi-Fi networks, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi.
  4. Touch and slide the Wi-Fi networking slider to On, if necessary. Your phone automatically searches for available Wi-Fi networks.
  5. Tap the desired network.
  6. Enter a password, if necessary, and tap done.
