Set custom sounds

Notifications

To change the notification sounds, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Select Personalize.
  4. Select Options.
  5. Select Edit.
  6. Scroll to the Message tab.
  7. Select Message alert tone.
  8. Select Options.
  9. Select Change.
  10. Select Use my alert tone.
  11. Choose the ringtone you want to use.

 

 

Ringtones

To change the ringtone, follow these steps:

 

Ringtone for all calls

  1. From the Home screen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings (Configuracion).
  3. Select Personalize (Personalizar).
  4. Select Sound profiles (Perfiles de sonido).
  5. Scroll to one of the following sound profiles:
    • Normal (Normal)
    • Driving (En el coche)
    • Outdoor (Exterior)
  6. Select Options (Opciones).
  7. Scroll to and select Edit (Editar).
  8. Scroll to the Phone icon.
  9. Scroll to Ringtone (Tono de llamada).
  10. Select Edit (Editar).
  11. Scroll to and select the ringtone you want.
  12. Select Options (Opciones).
  13. Scroll to and select Save (Guardar).

 

Note: ringtones downloaded from My T-Mobile are found under Music, not in the ringtones menu.

Transfer

Transfer music or sounds to use

Some devices require you to transfer music, sounds, or other audio files to the device in a certain way for it to be used for ringtones and notifications. To transfer these files, follow these steps:

 

Note:You must have a memory card in your phone to view, delete, or transfer files using your computer.

 

  1. From the Homescreen, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings (Configuracion).
  3. Select Personalize (Personalizar).
  4. Scroll to and select Phone settings (Telefono).
  5. Scroll to and select USB mode (Modo USB).
  6. Scroll to and select Mass storage (Almacenamiento masivo).
  7. Connect a USB cord to your phone first, then to a computer.
  8. On the computer, navigate to and open the phone’s drive.
  9. On the computer, locate the audio file(s) you want to move.
  10. Copy the file(s) you want to move.
  11. Paste the files into the desired location on the phone’s drive.
  12. When finished, safely disconnect the phone from the computer.
