Music player

Play music or MP3

To play music or MP3s in the music player, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications image006.jpg icon.
  2. Scroll to and tap Music.
  3. Tap on desired song or artist and press Play.

 

 

Turn on / off FM radio

To turn on or turn off the FM radio, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications image006.jpg icon.
  2. Scroll to and tap FM Radio.
  3. Connect a cable headset to the phone’s 3.5mm connector to act as an antenna.
  4. Tap the Search image118.jpg or image120.jpg icons to find a desired station.
  5. Press the Volume upor Volume down keys to adjust the volume.

Transfer

Transfer music from computer to device

To transfer music files between a computer and the device, follow these steps:

On a Windows computer

  1. Plug the small end of the USB cable into the USB/charging port on your phone.
  2. Plug the large end of the USB cable into the USB port of your computer.
  3. On your phone, a Choose a connection type message appears.
  4. Tap Disk drive.
  5. Tap Done.
    • Note: Some applications in use may be stopped or may not be available until you disconnect USB storage.
  6. On your computer, click Startand then click My Computer to view your computer’s folders and files.
  7. Under Devices with Removable Storage, double-click Removable Disk to access the folders and files on your phone’s memory card.
  8. Double-click the memory card’s Removable Disk item to view the card’s folders.
  9. Drag and drop the music file(s) from your computer into the memory card folder.
  10. When you are finished, click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray in the lower right-hand corner of your computer desktop.
  11. Click Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device - Drives.
  12. Disconnect the USB cord from your computer and then from your phone.

 

On a Macintosh computer

For Macintosh computers running Mac OS X 10.5 or later, you need Android File Transfer to access and transfer files between your Mac and an Android device running Android 3.0 or later. To download Android File Transfer, browse to www.android.com/filetransfer on your Macintosh computer. Click Download Now. When the download completes, double-click the Android File Transfer virtual disk on the Mac desktop. In the installer window, drag theAndroid File Transfer character to the Applications folder icon.

  1. Plug the small end of the USB cable into the USB/charging port on your phone.
  2. Plug the large end of the USB cable into the USB port of your computer.
  3. On your phone, a Choose a connection type message appears.
  4. Tap Disk drive.
  5. Tap Done.
    • Note: Some applications in use may be stopped or may not be available until you disconnect USB storage.
  6. On your computer, double-click Android File Transfer to open it the first time (subsequently it opens automatically).
  7. If prompted, click Open.
  8. On the desktop, double-click the virtual drive icon labeled No Name (unless you previously changed its name) to access the folders and files on your phone’s memory card.

  9. Double-click memory card’s virtual drive icon to view the card’s folders.
  10. Drag and drop the music file(s) from your computer into the memory card folder.
  11. When you are finished, drag and drop the virtual drive icons into the Trash/Eject.
  12. Disconnect the USB cord from your computer and then from your phone.
