Bluetooth

Pair Bluetooth device

To turn on Bluetooth and pair with a headset or other device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Menu key.
  2. Touch Settings.
  3. Touch Wireless & networks.
  4. Touch Bluetooth settings.
  5. If necessary, touch Bluetooth to select the check box and enable Bluetooth.
  6. Touch Scan for devices.
  7. From the list, touch the device with which you want to pair.
  8. If  prompted, enter the PIN and touch OK.
  9. Otherwise, touch Pair to confirm the pre-loaded passkey.
  10. On the other device, accept the pairing.

 

 

Turn on / off Bluetooth

To turn on or turn off Bluetooth, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Menu key.
  2. Touch Settings.
  3. Touch Wireless & networks.
  4. Touch Bluetooth settings.
  5. Touch Bluetooth to select the check box and enable Bluetooth.

Turn on / off Emergency Alerts

To turn on or turn off Emergency Alert messages that push to the device, follow these steps:

Turn on / off GPS

To turn on or turn off GPS, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch theMenu key.
  2. Touch Settings.
  3. Touch Location & security.
  4. Touch Use GPS satellites to enable or disable  GPS.

Network

APN & data settings

To set the Access Point Name (APN) and turn on data settings, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, pressMenu.
  2. Touch Settings.
  3. Touch Wireless & networks.
  4. Turn off Airplane Mode orFlight Mode
  5. Tun on Mobile Network (if available)
  6. Touch Mobile Networks.
  7. If you see the following check boxes, turn them on:
    • Data Enabled
    • Use Packet Data
    • If the customer is roaming off the T-Mobile Netowrk; turn on Data Roaming This will incur charges if you roam internationally, but it is required to receive data when roaming domestically.
  8. Touch Access Point Namesor APNs.

 

 

Manual network selection

To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:

 

  1. From  any Home screen, touch the Menu key.
  2. Touch Settings.
  3. Touch Wireless & networks.
  4. Scroll  to and touch Mobile networks.
  5. Touch Network operators.
  6. Touch Search networks.
  7. Touch  the desired network.

 

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

 

 

Switch 2G / 4G / LTE

To change the band between 2G, 4G, and LTE, follow these steps:

 

  1. From  any Home screen, touch the Menu key.
  2. Touch Settings.
  3. Touch Wireless  and Networks.
  4. Touch Mobile  Networks.
  5. Touch to selectthe Use only 2G networks checkbox.

 

 

Turn on / off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.

 

To turn on or turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. From  any Home screen, touch the Menu key.
  2. Touch Settings.
  3. Touch Wireless & networks.
  4. Touch  the Airplane mode check box to  enable.

 

 

Turn on / off data roaming

To turn on or turn off data roaming, follow these steps:

 

  1. From  any Home screen, touch the Menu key.
  2. Touch Settings.
  3. Touch Wireless  and Networks.
  4. Touch Mobile  Networks.
  5. Touch to selectthe Data roaming checkbox.
  6. Touch OK.

 

To turn off data roaming, follow these steps:


  1. From  any Home screen, touch the Menu key.
  2. Touch Settings.
  3. Touch Wireless  and Networks.
  4. Touch Mobile  Networks.
  5. Touch to clearthe Data roaming checkbox.

Wi-Fi

Delete Wi-Fi network profile

To delete a saved Wi-Fi network profile, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Menu key.
  2. Touch Settings.
  3. Touch Wireless & networks.
  4. Touch Wi-Fi settings.
  5. Scroll to and touch the Wi-Fi network you want to delete.
  6. Touch Forget.

 

 

Scan & connect to Wi-Fi network

To scan for and connect to available Wi-Fi networks, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Menu key.
  2. Touch Settings.
  3. Touch Wireless & networks.
  4. Touch Wi-Fi settings.
  5. If necessary, touch Wi-Fi to turn on and scan for Wi-Fi networks.
  6. Touch the Menu key.
  7. Touch Scan.
  8. Scroll to and touch the network you want to connect to.
  9. If necessary, enter the password.
  10. Touch Connect.

 

 

Turn on / off Wi-Fi
