Bluetooth

Pair Bluetooth device

To turn on Bluetooth and pair with a headset or other device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Scroll down to and tap Settings.
  3. Tap Bluetooth.
  4. Tap the Status switch to turn on Bluetooth.
  5. On the other device, turn on Bluetooth and make it discoverable.
  6. Your phone automatically searches for other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Select the device for pairing.
  7. If prompted, compare the PIN numbers on the respective devices. If they match, tap OK.
  8. If necessary enter the PIN number, and then tap OK.
  9. On the other device, accept the pairing.

 

 

Turn on/off Bluetooth

To turn on or turn off Bluetooth, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Scroll down to and tap Settings.
  3. Tap Bluetooth.
  4. Tap the Status switch to turn on or turn off Bluetooth.

Emergency Alerts

Turn on/off Emergency Alerts

To turn on or turn off Emergency Alert messages that push to the device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, tap the Messaging tile.
  2. Tap the More icon.
  3. Tap settings.
  4. Scroll to and tap emergency alerts.
  5. Tap the AMBER Alerts switch to turn on or turn off.
  6. Tap the Emergency alerts field.
  7. Select one of the following:
    • Presidential only
    • Presidential and Extreme alerts
    • all alerts

GPS

Turn on/off GPS

To turn on or turn off GPS, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Scroll down to and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll down to and tap location.
  4. Tap the Location services switch to turn on or turn off GPS.

Network

APN & data settings

To set the Access Point Name (APN) and turn on data settings, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, swipe left to Applications.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to, and tap access point.
  4. Tap add.
  5. Enter fast.t-mobile.com into the following fields:
    • Connection name
    • Access Point Name
    • MMS Access Point Name
  6. In MMS URL, enter http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
  7. Tap the Check mark icon.
  8. Within the access point settings, select the recently added APN to activate.

 

 

Manual network selection

To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Scroll down to and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll down to and tap cellular.
  4. Tap the Network selection field. The phone will begin searching for networks.
  5. Select the desired network.

 

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

 

 

Switch 2G/4G/LTE

To change the band between 2G, 4G, and LTE, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Scroll down to and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll down to and tap cellular.
  4. Tap the Highest connection speed field.
  5. Select from the following options:
    • 2G
    • 4G
    • LTE

 

 

Turn on/off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.

 

To turn on or turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Scroll down to and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll down to and tap airplane mode.
  4. Tap the Status switch to turn on or turn off airplane mode.

 

 

Turn on/off data roaming

To turn on or turn off data roaming, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Scroll down to and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll down to and tap cellular.
  4. Tap the Data roaming options field.
  5. Select from the following options
    • roam
    • don't roam

NFC

Read NFC tag

To read the NFC tag information from another NFC device or a printed tag, follow these steps:

 

  1. Gently place the back of your device against the NFC antenna location on the other device or against the printed tag.
  2. When your phone has successfully read the tag, it will play a notification sound and the information, photo, video, or website will appear on the screen.

 

 

Turn on/off NFC

To turn on or turn off NFC, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Scroll down to and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll down to and tap tap+send.
  4. Tap the NFC sharing switch to turn on or turn off.

Wi-Fi

Delete Wi-Fi network profile

To delete a saved Wi-Fi network profile, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Scroll down to and tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi.
  4. If necessary, tap the Wi-Fi networking switch to turn on. Your phone will automatically scan for available Wi-Fi networks.
  5. Touch and hold the Wi-Fi network you want to delete.
  6. Tap delete.

 

 

Scan & connect to Wi-Fi network

To scan for and connect to available Wi-Fi networks, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Scroll down to and tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi.
  4. If necessary, tap the Wi-Fi networking switch to turn on. Your phone will automatically scan for available Wi-Fi networks.
  5. Select the Wi-Fi network to which you want to connect.
  6. If security is enabled, enter the password, and then tap Done.

 

 

Turn on/off Wi-Fi

To turn on or turn off Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Scroll down to and tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi.
