Block messages or spam from a number

To block incoming text or picture messages (SMS or MMS) or mark them as spam, follow these steps:

Delete picture messages (MMS)

To delete picture messages (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Messages.
  3. Tap the thread containing the message you want to delete.
  4. Touch and hold the message you want to delete.
  5. Tap Delete message
  6. Tap Delete.

 

 

Delete text messages (SMS)

To delete text messages (SMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Messages.
  3. Touch and hold that message that you want to delete.
  4. Tap Delete thread.
  5. Tap Delete.

 

 

Save pictures received in a message (MMS)

To save a picture you received as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Messages.
  3. Tap the desired message thread.
  4. Touch and hold the image in the message.
  5. Tap Save attachment.
  6. Tap the desired folder.
  7. Tap Save.

Send messages

Send a group text message (SMS)

To write and send text messages (SMS) to a group, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Messages.
  3. Tap New message.
  4. At To, enter the contact’s name or tap the Contacts icon to select a name in your contact list.
    • Note: Repeat this step to add multiple contacts.
  5. Enter your message.
  6. Tap Send

 

Send a new picture or video in a message (MMS)

To take a new picture or video and send it as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Messages.
  3. Tap New Message.
  4. Tap the Attach icon.
  5. Tap Camera picture.
  6. Frame the subject.
  7. Tap the silver button to take the photo.
  8. Tap the picture thumbnail.
  9. Tap Done.
  10. At To, enter the recipient’s phone number or name, or tap the Contacts icon to select a recipient from your contacts.
  11. Tap the body of the message and enter the text of your message.
  12. Tap Send.

 

Send a saved picture or video in a message (MMS)

To send pictures or videos you have saved on your device as a picture message (MMS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Messages.
  3. Tap New Message.
  4. Tap the Attach icon.
  5. Tap Pictures.
  6. Tap the image you want to send.
  7. At To, enter the recipient’s phone number or name, or tap the Contacts icon to select a recipient from your contacts.
  8. Tap the body of the message and enter the text of your message.
  9. Tap Send.
