Insert / remove SIM card

To insert or remove the SIM card, follow these steps:

 

Insert

  1. Remove the back cover by pressing down on the cover. Slide the cover down.

  2. Remove the battery by using the notch located at the top of the battery compartment.
  3. Insert the SIM card with the gold contacts facing the phone.

  4. Insert the battery while ensuring the gold contacts are aligned.

  5. Replace the back cover by pressing it flush against the device. Slide up and into place.

 

Remove

  1. Remove the back cover by pressing down on the cover. Slide the cover down.

  2. Remove the battery by using the notch located at the top of the battery compartment.
  3. Slide the SIM card out of the compartment.

  4. Insert the battery while ensuring the gold contacts are aligned.

  5. Replace the back cover by pressing it flush against the device. Slide up and into place.

Mobile Device Unlock

Mobile Device Unlock

The Mobile Device Unlock code allows the device to use a SIM card from another wireless carrier. This may be necessary when traveling internationally. To enter the Mobile Device Unlock code, follow these steps:

 

Important: Stop if you receive an error message. The device may lock permanently if you enter the incorrect code multiple times.

 

  1. See if your phone is eligible to unlock: Mobile Wireless Device Unlocking.
  2. Contact Customer Care to request the Mobile Device Unlock code for your phone.
  3. From any Home screen, tap the Phone icon.
  4. Tap Dial Pad.
  5. Verify the phone’s IMEI by entering *#06#.
  6. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and drag it down.
  7. Tap Settings.
  8. Tap Security and privacy.
  9. Tap SIM Card.
  10. Tap Unlock Network.
  11. Enter your code and tap OK.
