Backlight

Brightness

To make the screen backlight brighter or darker, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and drag it down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Display.
  4. Touch the Brightness Slider and drag it left or right.

 

 

Timeout

To change the time before the backlight times out, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and drag it down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Display.
  4. Tap Screen Lock Timeout and then tap the desired setting.

Home screen

Add widget or shortcut

We're sorry, but this feature is not available on this device. However, as you download new third party applications, the application icon will appear on the appropriate Home screen.

Home screen wallpaper

To change the Home screen wallpaper picture, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and drag it down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Display. .
  4. Next to 'Wallpaper,' tap Select.
  5. Choose one of the following options for setting a wallpaper:

    • Set a pre-installed wallpaper
      • Tap the desired pre-installed wallpaper thumbnail on the screen

    • Take a new picture and set it as your wallpaper
      • Tap the Camera icon and then frame your subject. Tap the screen to take a picture and simultaneously set it as your wallpaper.

    • Set a picture file as your wallpaper
      • Tap the Folder icon and then navigate through your files to select one of your pictures as a wallpaper. Tap the desired picture. 
        Note: Tap the Menu icon at bottom-left to navigate to your Device (internal memory) or media card (SD card).

 

 

Lock screen wallpaper

To change your lock screen wallpaper, follow the procedure directly above 'Home screen wallpaper.' When you set a Home screen   wallpaper, you also set the same picture to your lock screen.

Keyboard

Change default keyboard

We're sorry, but this feature is not available on this device. However, from an open text field, you can press the sym key to open a touch screen of symbols.

 

Tap the 1/2 and 2/2 to access all the symbols.

 

 

Enter symbols & numbers

To enter symbols and numbers with the keyboard, follow these steps:

 

alt key

  1. From an open text field, press and quickly release the alt key to enter a single symbol or number. Press the key containing the desired symbol or number.
  2. To enter two or more continuous symbols or numbers, press and hold the alt key until the box at top-right fills with blue. When finished entering text, press the alt key again to return to alphabet mode.
  3. While in alphabet mode, press and hold a key to see more symbols (If available. Not all keys contain extra symbols). Tap the desired symbol on the screen.

 

sym key

  1. From an open text field, press the sym key to open an on-screen version of available symbols.
  2. Press the sym key again to see more symbols.
  3. Tap the desired symbol or number. The on-screen symbols disappear. Repeat as necessary.

 

 

Text entry mode

To change the text entry or predictive text mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and drag it down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Language and Input.
  4. Swipe up and tap Prediction and Correction.
  5. To turn on predictive text mode, tap the Show Predictions Switch to On. The Switch moves right and fills with color.
  6. To turn off predictive text mode, tap the Show Predictions Switch to Off. The Switch moves left and turns grey.
  7. Below, tap to adjust the Correction Behavior settings as desired.

 

 

Turn on / off haptic feedback

Haptic feedback is not supported on this device. We're sorry, but this feature is not available on this device.

Multitasking

Turn on / off multitasking

Multitasking is automatically enabled and cannot be turned off. Multitasking works by allowing you to revisit recently opened applications.

 

 

Switch windows

To switch tasks or windows, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any screen, touch the bottom of the screen and drag up to arrive at the Default Home screen (containing recently opened applications).
  2. If necessary, swipe up on the screen to reveal more recently visited applications. Tap the desired application thumbnail to switch to that application. Repeat as desired.
