Back up contacts

To back up your contacts, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Accounts & sync.
  4. Tap the desired account.
  5. Tap the Menu key.
  6. Tap Sync now.

 

 

Back up media & pictures

 

To back up your media and pictures, follow these steps:

 

  1. Connect the USB cord to the phone, then to a computer.
  2. Touch Turn on USB storage.
  3. Tap OK.
  4. When a Removable Disk window appears on your computer, double-click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer.
  5. Double-click to open the folder on the computer containing the file(s) you want to move.
    • Note: This is not a complete list of files and folders and some of the items listed may not appear on every phone. Be sure to locate and back up any content you want to save.
  6. Copy and paste or drag and drop the files into the desired location on your memory card.
    • Caution: Do not disconnect the USB cable during file transfer.
  7. When you are finished, click the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray of your computer.
  8. Click Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device.
  9. Tap Turn off USB storage.
  10. Disconnect the USB cable from your phone.

Restore media & pictures

To restore backed up media and pictures, follow these steps:
