Insert / remove battery

To to insert or remove the battery in your device, follow these steps:

 

  1. Power the phone off.
  2. Remove the back cover using the notch located at the bottom of the phone.
  3. Align the gold contacts on the battery with the gold contacts in the battery compartment.
  4. Press the battery into place.
  5. Replace the back cover by pressing it onto the phone.

To remove the battery, follow these steps:

 

  1. Power the phone off.
  2. Remove the back cover using the notch located at the bottom of the phone.
  3. Lift the battery out of the compartment using the notch located above the battery slot.

To save and extend battery life, follow these steps:

 

  1. Follow all Tips to conserve battery life above before continuing.
  2. See what features are using your battery:
    1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
    2. Touch Settings.
    3. Touch About phone.
    4. Touch Battery.
    5. Touch Battery use.
    6. You may reduce your usage of the top battery consuming features in order to extend battery life.
  3. Compare the talk time with the device’s specifications to ensure it is not a limitation of the device.
    Note: See What to expect above, because your talk-time and standby time will not be as long.
  4. Install any available updates for applications in the Google Play Store.
  5. If your battery is starting to lose some capacity over time, consider replacing it with a manufacturer approved battery.
