Bluetooth

Pair Bluetooth device

To turn on Bluetooth and pair with a headset or other device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and slide down.
  2. Tap Bluetooth.
  3. Tap the Bluetooth switch to turn on.
  4. On the other device, turn on Bluetooth and make it discoverable.
  5. From the 'Devices' list, select the device you want to pair with.
  6. Tap Yes.
  7. On the other device, accept the pairing.

Turn on/off Bluetooth

To turn on or turn off Bluetooth, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and slide down.
  2. Tap the Bluetooth icon to turn on or turn off.
    Note: When Bluetooth is on, the icon fills with blue color.

Emergency Alerts

Turn on/off Emergency Alerts

To turn on or turn off Emergency Alert messages that push to the device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the screen and slide right until you reach the BlackBerry Hub.
  2. Tap the Menu icon on the bottom-right of the screen.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Emergency Alerts.
  5. Adjust the following options as necessary:
    • Extreme Threat Alerts
    • Severe Threat Alerts
    • AMBER Alerts

Note: Presidential Alerts cannot be disabled.

GPS

Turn on/off GPS

To turn on or turn off GPS, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and slide down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll down to and tap Location Services.
  4. Tap the Location Services switch to turn on or turn off.

Network

APN & data settings

To set the Access Point Name (APN) and turn on data settings, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and slide down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Network Connections.
  4. Tap Mobile Network.
  5. Tap the Settings settings icon.jpg icon.
  6. Tap the Access Point Name field, and then enter fast.tmobile.com.
  7. Leave the Username field blank.
  8. Leave the Password field blank.
  9. Leave the Authentication Type field set to None.
  10. Tap Save.

 

APN - Reset

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and drag it down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Network Connections.
  4. Tap Mobile Network.
  5. Tap the Settings settings icon.jpg icon.
  6. To the Restore to default icon located at the bottom of the screen to restore default settings.
  7. Tap Restore.

 

 

Manual network selection

To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and slide down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Network Connections.
  4. Tap Mobile Network.
  5. Tap the Network Selection Mode field.
  6. Tap Manual. The device will scan for available networks.
    Note: Data connectivity will be lost during scan.
  7. Connect to the desired network.

 

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

 

 

Switch 2G/4G/LTE

To change the band between 2G, 4G, and LTE, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and slide down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Network Connections.
  4. Tap Mobile Network.
  5. Tap the Network Mode field.
  6. Select the desired option.

 

 

Turn on/off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.

 

To turn on or turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and slide down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Network Connections.
  4. Tap the Airplane Mode switch to turn on or turn off.

 

 

Turn on/off data roaming

To turn on or turn off data roaming, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and slide down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Network Connections.
  4. Tap Mobile Network.
  5. Tap the Data services while roaming field.
  6. Select one of the following:
    • On 
    • Off 
    • Prompt

NFC

Read NFC tag

To read the NFC tag information from another NFC device or a printed tag, follow these steps:

Note: NFC must be turned on. Also, tag sharing must be enabled on the other device.

 

  1. Navigate your device to the Home screen.
  2. Gently place the back of your phone against the NFC antenna location of the other device, or against the printed tag.
  3. If necessary, wait for the file transfer to complete before separating the devices.

 

 

Turn on/off NFC

To turn on or turn off NFC, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and slide down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Network Connections.
  4. Tap NFC.
  5. Tap the NFC Connectivity switch to turn on or turn off.

Wi-Fi

Delete Wi-Fi network profile

To delete a saved Wi-Fi network profile, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and slide down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Network Connections.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi.
  5. Tap Saved.
  6. Select the network you want to delete.
  7. Tap Delete.
  8. Tap Delete again to confirm.

 

 

Scan & connect to Wi-Fi network

To scan for and connect to available Wi-Fi networks, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and slide down.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Network Connections.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi.
  5. If necessary, tap the Wi-Fi switch to turn off. Then, turn Wi-Fi on again to re-scan for available networks.
  6. Select the desired network.
  7. Enter the password. If necessary, tap Advanced to enter any advanced settings information.
  8. Tap Connect.
    Note: Many public Wi-Fi networks require a log in. If prompted about HotSpot log in, tap OK. This launches a Web page to log in to the Wi-Fi provider's network.

 

 

Turn on/off Wi-Fi

To turn on or turn off Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, touch the Status bar and slide down.
  2. Tap the Wi-Fi icon to turn on or turn off.
    Note: The icon will fill with color when Wi-Fi is enabled. The icon will return to white when Wi-Fi is disabled.

 

 

Wi-Fi indicators

To determine when you have an active Wi-Fi connection, refer to these icons:
