Bluetooth

Pair Bluetooth device

To turn on Bluetooth and pair with a headset or other device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap the Bluetooth Off / On toggle to turn on Bluetooth.
  4. On the other device, turn on Bluetooth and make it discoverable.
  5. Tap Bluetooth to enter Bluetooth settings.
  6. On the Bluetooth devices list, tap the device for pairing.
  7. If prompted, enter the PIN.
  8. Note: The default PIN is 1234.
  9. Tap OK.
  10. On the other device, accept the pairing.

 

 

Turn on / off Bluetooth

To turn on or turn off Bluetooth, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap the Bluetooth Off / On toggle to turn off Bluetooth.

Turn on / off GPS

To turn on or turn off GPS, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap GPS satellites to enable or disable GPS.

Network

APN & data settings

To set the Access Point Name (APN) and turn on data settings, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Settings menu, look under Wireless & Networks.
  2. Turn off  Wi-Fi.
  3. Touch More.
  4. Turn off Airplane mode.
  5. Touchthe Back key.
  6. Touch Mobile network settings.
  7. Select Data roaming.
  8. Touch Access point names.
  9. Touch  Menu, then tap New APN.
  10. Enter the access point information as necessary.
  11. Touch the Menu key, and then tap Save.

 

Note: If the customer is roaming off the T-Mobile Netowrk; turn on Data Roaming This will incur charges if you roam internationally, but it is required to receive data when roaming domestically.

 

Manual network selection

To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu menu.PNG key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and tap Mobile network.
  4. Tap Network operators.
  5. Tap Search networks.
  6. Scroll to and tap the desired network.

 

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

 

 

Switch 2G / 4G / LTE

To change the band between 2G, 4G, and LTE, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu menu.PNG key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Mobile network.
  4. Tap Network Mode.
  5. Tap WCDMA only to use a 3G connection only.
  6. Tap GSM only to use a 2G connection only.
  7. Tap GSM / WCDMA auto to use a 4G connection when available.

 

Turn on / off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.

 

To turn on or turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu menu.PNG key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap More.
  4. Tap Airplane mode to select turn on or clear and turn off.

 

 

Turn on / off data roaming

To turn on or turn off data roaming, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menumenu.PNG key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and tap Mobile network.
  4. Tap Data roaming to select and connect or clear and disconnect data services.

Wi-Fi

Delete Wi-Fi network profile

To delete a saved Wi-Fi network profile, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings .
  3. Tap Wi-Fi.
  4. If necessary, tap Wi-Fi On / Off toggle  to turn on and view Wi-Fi networks.
  5. Scroll to and tap the Wi-Fi network you want to delete.
  6. Tap Forget.

 

 

Scan & connect to Wi-Fi network

To scan for and connect to available Wi-Fi networks, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi.
  4. If necessary, tap the Wi-Fi Off / On toggle to turn on and view Wi-Fi networks.
  5. Tap the Menu key.
  6. Tap Scan.
  7. Scroll to and tap the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
  8. If security is enabled, enter the Wireless password.
  9. Tap Connect.

 

Turn on / off Wi-Fi

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap the Wi-Fi On / Off toggle to turn on or turn off Wi-Fi.

 

 

W-Fi indicators

To determine when you have an active Wi-Fi connection, refer to these icons:
