Bluetooth

Pair Bluetooth device

To turn on Bluetooth and pair with a headset or other device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Menu.
  2. Scroll to and tap Bluetooth.
  3. If necessary, tap the Phone icon to turn on Bluetooth.
  4. On the other device, turn on Bluetooth and make discoverable.
  5. Select the device you want to pair with.
  6. Verify the passkey and tap Yes to accept the pairing.
  7. On the other device, accept the pairing.

 

 

Turn on/off Bluetooth

To turn on or turn off Bluetooth, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Menu.
  2. Scroll to and tap Bluetooth.
  3. Tap the Phone icon to turn on or turn off Bluetooth.

Emergency Alerts

Turn on/off Emergency Alerts

To turn on or turn off Emergency Alert messages that push to the device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Menu.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and tap Applications settings.
  4. Tap Messaging.
  5. Scroll down to and tap Emergency alert settings.
  6. Tap the Emergency alerts drop-down menu.
    Note: Presidential alerts cannot be disabled.
  7. Select one of the following:
    • All alerts on
    • Extreme alerts only
    • Presidential alerts only
  8. Tap the AMBER alert drop-down menu.
  9. Select one of the following:
    • On
    • Off
  10. Tap Save.

GPS

Turn on/off GPS

To turn on or turn off GPS for the Camera application, follow these steps:

 

  1. Press the Camera key.
  2. Tap Setup.
  3. Tap the Settings tab.
  4. Tap the Down arrow to view more options.
  5. Next to 'GPS connection,' tap On or tap Off.

Manual network selection

To manually select the wireless network the device connects to, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Menu.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll down to and tap Network selection.
  4. Tap Default setup.
  5. Tap Manual.
  6. Tap Select. The device will begin searching for networks.
  7. Select the desired network.

 

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

 

 

Switch 2G/4G/LTE

Turn on/off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows you to use apps and menus, but not make calls or use the internet.

 

To turn on or turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Menu.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Phone settings.
  4. Scroll down to 'Airplane mode.'
  5. Select one of the following:
    • On
    • Off

 

 

Turn on/off data roaming

To turn on or turn off data roaming, follow these steps:

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap Menu.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Applications settings.
  4. Tap Data roaming.
  5. Select one of the following:
    • Enable
    • Disable
