Troubleshoot or learn more about why acontact saved in Contacts may not appear in the potential matches list that displays when entering the contact’s phone number on the Dialer screen. This issue occurs when the phone number is saved in Contacts with a 1 or +1 at the beginning, but is entered on the Dialer screen beginning with the Area Code.
To fix this issue:
- Enter a ‘1’ before the area code on the Dialer screen for any contact that has a 1 saved at the beginning of a saved phone number.
- Edit the contact and remove the 1 at the beginning of any saved phone numbers.
- Search for the desired contact in Contacts and initiate the call from there.
