    App features

    App requirements

    • Samsung Hub is available to download from the Play Store for any Samsung phone running Android 2.1 or higher.
    • You  must have a data plan.
    • You must have a Samsung Account to be able to purchase content.

    Samsung Books update

    On May 13, the Samsung Books feature in the Samsung Hub app will be replaced with the Amazon Kindle for Samsung app. This change over will be complete by July 1, 2014.


    This change affects the following devices:

    • Galaxy S 3 (T999/T999L)
    • Galaxy S 4 (M919)
    • Galaxy S Relay 4G
    • Galaxy Note 2 (T889)
    • Galaxy Note 3 (N900T)


    Kindle for Samsung is an E-Book service specific for Samsung device users. Unlike Amazon Kindle, Kindle for Samsung has offers monthly Samsung Book Deals, which are special benefits for Samsung users only.

    Kindle for Samsung offers:

    Sign in using a different account

    To sign in using a different account, follow these steps:


    1. Open the Samsung Hub app.
    2. Press Menu
    3. Select Settings
    4. Select Applications
    5. Select Manage Applications
    6. Select Samsung Hub
    7. Select Clear Data
    8. Select Settings
    9. Select Accounts & Sync
    10. Select Samsung account
    11. Select Remove Account





    To troubleshoot problems with the Samsung Hub app, follow these steps:


    Basic Troubleshooting

    Important: Complete these steps before proceeding to specific issues.

    1. Recreate the issue.
      1. Access the Samsung Hub on the phone.
      2. Attempt to perform the function that is not working and provide any error messages.
      3. Verify the steps taken with How To's listed above.
      4. Attempt to perform another function within Samsung Hub and provide the results.

    3. Close all apps & restart the phone.
      1. Clear Data/Cache for Samsung Hub
        1. Tap the Menu button.
        2. Tap Settings.
        3. Tap Applications.
        4. Tap Samsung Hub.
        5. Tap Clear Data.
        6. Tap Clear Cache.
      2. Restart your phone or close all apps
      3. Remove the battery from the phone.
      4. Replace the battery and restart the phone.
      5. Launch Samsung Hub (you will need to login)
      6. Attempt to complete the action again
