Battery indicator is grey: T-Mobile myTouch 4G

Troubleshoot or learn more about battery issues with the T-Mobile myTouch 4G


To fix this issue:

  • This issue may be due to either a bad battery or due to irregular charging process.
  • Allowing the device to die entirely and then recharge to 100% will allow the internal software calibration to reset.
  1. Attempt to use a different charger (cable and AC adaptor). Check that it is a 1A output HTC charger.
  2. Test if problems continue.
  3. If problems continue, use the device until the battery runs out completely, and the devices turns off on its own..
  4. While the device is still off, plug the device into the 1A HTC charger. Keep it plugged in and turned off until the LED indicator turns green. This may take up to 8 hours.
  5. Test if problems continue.
