Album

Access from device – Not supported

Send picture to Album

To send a picture to the Album service, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messaging.
  2. Tap the New message icon.
  3. At Enter recipient, enter short code 222.
  4. Tap the Attach icon.
  5. Tap Images.
  6. Tap the picture you want to send.
  7. If desired, enter a message.
  8. Tap Send.

Camera

Camera settings

To adjust the settings for how the camera takes or displays  pictures, follow these steps:

Note:  The following steps reference holding the camera in Landscape (horizontal)  mode.

Editing the Settings Icons

  1. The Camera application contains a shortcut menu.  Using this menu, you can remove and add settings icons from the camera  interface and store them in the shortcut menu.

 

  1. To access and edit the menu, touch and hold on  an icon.
  2. To add an icon to the shortcut menu, touch and  hold on an icon.
  3. Drag the icon to inside the shortcut menu.
  4. Release your finger.
  5. If desired, touch and hold on an icon inside the  shortcut menu.
  6. Drag it to the desired location on the camera  interface.
  7. Release your finger.

Note: You can restore your default  camera settings at any time by tapping the Settings icon (Gear), then tapping Reset, and  then tap Yes.

Settings Menu

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Camera.
  3. Tap the Settings icon (Gear).
  4. Tap to change the desired settings.
  5. Note:  Swipe up to view all setting options.

 

Flash

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Camera.
  3. Tap the Flash icon.
  4. Tap one of the following options:

 

  1. Off
  2. On
  3. Auto  Flash

Zoom

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Camera.
  3. Press the Up and Down Volume keys to zoom in or out.
  4. If desired, after it appears, touch and drag the  Zoom Slider to also zoom in/out.

 

Front / Rear Camera

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Camera.
  3. Tap the Front  / Rear Camera icon at top-left to  switch between the front and rear camera.

 

Camera / Camcorder mode

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Camera.
  3. Touch and drag the Camera/Camcorder Slider to switch between the camera and  the camcorder.

 

Camcorder mode

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Camera.
  3. Touch and drag the Camera / Camcorder Slider left to enter Camcorder mode.
  4. Tap the Shooting  mode icon and select from the following:
    • Normal
    • Limit for  MMS
    • Self-recording
  5. Tap the Flash icon and select from the following settings:
    • Off
    • On
  6. Tap the Settings icon (gear) and tap to adjust the following Settings:
    • Edit  shortcuts
    • Flash
    • Recording  mode
    • Exposure  value
    • Timer
    • Effects
    • Resolution
    • White  balance
    • Video quality
    • Guidelines
    • Storage
    • Reset

 

Pictures – Access

To view pictures, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Gallery.
  3. Note;  To learn where on the device or external memory card a picture is stored, touch  and hold on the picture thumbnail, tap More,  tap Details, and then view File location.
    • Sdcard = phone memory
    • Sdcard / external_sd = external memory card

 

Pictures – Delete

Device  Memory

To delete pictures from the device memory, follow these  steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap My  files.
  3. Tap DCIM.
  4. Tap Camera.
  5. Note:  If located in a different folder, navigate to the location of the desired picture(s).
  6. Tap the Menu key.
  7. Tap Delete.
  8. Tap to select the check box for each picture to  be deleted.
  9. Tap Delete.

 

Memory Card

To delete pictures from the memory card, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap My  files.
  3. Tap external_sd.
  4. Tap dcim.
  5. Tap Camera.
  6. Note:  If located in a different folder, navigate to the location of the desired  pictue(s).
  7. Tap the Menu key.
  8. Tap Delete.
  9. Tap to select the check box for each picture to  be deleted.
  10. Tap Delete.

 

Pictures – Take / capture

To take a picture, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Camera.
  3. Frame the subject.
  4. Tap the silver Shutter icon to take the photo.

S Memo – Access

To access the S  Memo application, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap S Memo.
  2. To open a new memo, tap one of the following  options:
    • Add text  memo icon.
    • Add  drawing (and text) memo icon.
  3. Create your memo and tap Save.
  4. Note:  To view the S Memo tutorial, tap the Menu key and then tap Tutorial when the  application is open to the S Memo home screen.
  5. Note:  You can use S Memo to create a picture and then assign that picture to a  contact. See: ‘Picture ID – Set’ in the Caller ID section.

Music player

Access music player

To access the music player, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Music player.

Move music – From computer to  memory card

To move files from a computer to the device memory card,  follow these steps:

  1. Connect your USB cable to your phone and then to  your computer.
  2. On your computer, if a pop up window appears, double-click  on the Open device to view files using  Windows explorer folder.
  3. Otherwise, on your computer, navigate to your  phone’s memory card folder.
  4. Note:  If you have an external memory card installed, two icons will display: one icon  for the internal phone memory and one icon for the external card memory (SD  card).
  5. Double-click on the memory card icon.
  6. Double-click on the desired file location.
  7. From your computer, drag and drop the desired music  files into the memory card folder.
  8. Remove the USB cable from the computer and your  phone.

 

Playlist – Add files

To add music files to an existing playlist, follow these  steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Music  player.
  3. Tap the Playlists tab.
  4. Tap the desired playlist where the song will be  added.
  5. Tap Add  music.
  6. Tap to select each song to be added to the  playlist.
  7. Tap Add.

 

Playlist – Create

To create a playlist, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Music  player.
  3. Tap the Playlists tab.
  4. Tap the Menu key.
  5. Tap Create.
  6. If desired, tap to change the playlist name.
  7. Tap Save.

 

Playlist – Delete files

To delete files from a playlist, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Music  player.
  3. Tap the Playlists tab.
  4. Tap the desired playlist.
  5. Tap the Menu key.
  6. Tap Remove.
  7. Tap to select each song to be deleted.
  8. Tap Remove.

 

Playlist – Delete playlist

To delete a playlist, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Music  player.
  3. Tap the Playlists tab.
  4. Tap the Menu key.
  5. Tap Delete.
  6. Tap to select the playlist to be deleted.
  7. Tap Delete.

 

Playlist – Play

To play music files, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Music  player.
  3. Tap the Playlists tab.
  4. Tap the desired playlist.
  5. Tap any song in the playlist.
  6. The playlist begins playing.
  7. Tap the left or right Next tack arrows to change the playlist song.

 

Supported music files

This device has a portable music player that supports the  following file formats and bitrates:

  • MP3
  • AAC
  • AAC+
  • eAAC+
  • WMA
  • MPEG4
  • WAV
  • MIDI

Screen shot

You can use the  screen shot feature to capture screen images of your phone.

Capture screen shots
  To capture screen  shot images of your phone, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the desired screen.
  2. Swipe across the screen with the side of your  hand.
  3. Note:  You can swipe either left-to-right or right-to-left.
  4. If successful, a preview of the image briefly  appears on the screen.
  5. Note: Screen shots are stored in the Screenshots folder in the Gallery app.

  1. Home screen > Applications > My Files >  Pictures > Screenshots

Video

Access / play

To view videos stored on the device memory, follow these  steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Gallery or My files.
  3. Navigate to the desired file.
  4. Note:  The ‘My files’ default phone storage location for videos shot using the Camera  application in is DCIM > Camera.
  5. Tap the desired video to view.
  6. Note:  Video files display a Play icon within the thumbnail.

 

To view videos stored on the memory card, follow these  steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap My  files.
  3. Tap the external_sd folder.
  4. Navigate to the desired video file stored on the  memory card.
  5. Note:  The default location for videos shot using the Camera application is dcim > Camera.
  6. Tap the desired video to view.
  7. Note:  Video files display a Play icon within the thumbnail.

 

Record

To record video, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Camera.
  3. Touch and drag left the Camera / Camcorder Slider icon to switch to camcorder mode.
  4. Tap the red Record icon to begin recording.
  5. Tap the blinking red Stop icon to stop  recording.
  6. Your recording is saved to the default storage  location.

YouTube

Access YouTube

To access YouTube from the device, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap YouTube.
  3. If necessary, review Terms of Service and tap Accept.

 

Search for videos

To search for YouTube videos, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap YouTube.
  3. Tap the Search  icon  to open the on-screen keyboard.
  4. Enter your search text.
  5. Tap the Enter key on the keyboard or tap a listing from the drop-down list.

 

View video categories

To view YouTube video categories, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap YouTube.
  3. Swipe left to the Browse screen.

 

Upload video

To upload videos, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap YouTube.
  3. Swipe left to the Account screen.
  4. If necessary, tap Add account and log in to your Google account.
  5. Tap the Upload icon.
  6. Tap the video you want to upload.
  7. Enter a title for your video.
  8. Tap Upload.

 

Watch video

To watch YouTube videos, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap YouTube.
  3. Tap the category, search, or tap the desired  video.
  4. Tap to select and watch.
