Applications on Google Play Store

Access Play Store

To access the Play Store, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Play Store.
  3. Sign in to your Google account now, if necessary.
  4. Review the Play Store Terms of Service and tap Accept.

 

Download and install free application

To download free games or applications, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Play store.
  3. Tap Apps.
  4. Swipe left to Top Free.
  5. Locate and tap the application you want to download.
  6. Tap Install, Download, or Free.
  7. If prompted, tap Accept & download to accept permissions.
  8. Your item will be downloaded.
  9. Note: After installation, your application appears on the Applications screen.

 

Download and install paid application

To download paid games or applications, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
  2. Tap Play Store.
  3. Tap Apps.
  4. Swipe left to Top paid.
  5. Locate and tap the application you want to download.
  6. Tap the dollar amount.
  7. If necessary, tap OK to accept permissions.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  9. Your item will be downloaded.
  10. Note: After installation, your application appears on the Applications screen.

 

Uninstall application

To delete or uninstall games or applications, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Applications.
  4. Tap the Downloaded tab if necessary.
  5. Tap the application you want to uninstall.
  6. Tap Uninstall.
  7. Tap OK.
  8. Tap OK, again.

Games

Download via Computer

To download games from T-Mobile.com on a computer, follow these steps:

On a computer, download the ringtone from T-Mobile.com.

  1. Log into My T-Mobile.
  2. Hover over Shop.
  3. Click Games or Apps.
  4. Location the desired item.
  5. Click Buy Now next to the desired purchase option (One Time Download or Monthly Subscription).
    • Note: A download message will appear on the device. Open it and click the link to save the download.

Emergency Alerts

Emergency Alerts (EA) is a voluntary emergency alerting system that is being developed by the federal government to deliver/ transmit alert messages to mobile devices.

There are three types of Emergency Alerts available to customers with EA capable devices: Presidential Alerts, Imminent Threat to Life & Property Alerts, and Child Abduction/ Amber Alerts.

 

Access

  1. To access Emergency Alerts, follow these steps:
  2. From any Home screen, tap Messaging.
  3. View any Emergency Alert messages.

 

Settings

To change Emergency Alerts settings, follow these steps:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Messaging.
  2. Tap the Menu key.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Emergency alerts.
  5. Tap the following selections to select or clear the check box and enable or disable:
    • Extreme alerts
    • Severe alerts
    • AMBER alerts
  6. Note: Presidential alerts are automatically enabled and cannot be disabled.

Manage Applications

To review/stop applications that are on the phone, follow these steps:

  1. From any Screen, touch and hold  on the Home key.
  2. Tap Task manager.
  3. Note: From above Task manager, if desired, swipe up and  tap a recently visited screen to revisit.
  4. Tap from the following options:
    • Active applications tab
      • Tap Exit or Exit all to exit  out of active applications.
    • Downloaded tab
      • Tap Uninstall for the desired downloaded application.
    • RAM tab
      1. View the RAM status.
      2. If desired, tap Clear memory.
      3. Note: Save all  desired data before tapping ‘Clear memory.’
    • Storage tab
      • View the Total storage available  and storage used for System storage, USB storage, and SD card.
    • Help tab
  5. Note: Tap to learn  about the RAM manager and how to extend battery life.

    T-Mobile My Account/Access

    To open  T-Mobile My Account and view bill and phone information, follow these steps:

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Applications icon.
    2. Tap Access T-Mobile.
    3. The application should update to the T-Mobile My Account app.
