    How to guides

     

    Sign up via mobile

    1. Download and install the FamilyWhere app from the Play Store.
    2. Open the Familywhere app and tap Get Started.
    3. Enter a valid email in the Create your account text box and tap Create Account.
    4. Tap the check box next to the person you wish to track on the account and tap Locate!.

     

    Sign up via My T-Mobile

    From your mobile device:

    1. Go to My T-Mobile and log in to your account.
    2. Select the menu in the top right corner.
    3. Select the menu in the top right corner.
    4. Click Benefits, then FamilyWhere, and then Manage.
    5. Review and agree to the Terms of Service.
    6. Click Yes, then Activate.
    7. Complete all information on the Basic Information page and click Continue.
    8. On the confirmation page, click Sign in and locate.
    9. Click T-Mobile FamilyWhere on the Welcome page.

     

    From your computer:

    1. Go to My T-Mobile and log in to your account.
    2. Click Benefits, then FamilyWhere, and then Manage.
    3. Review and agree to the Terms of Service.
    4. Click Yes, then Activate.
    5. Complete all information on the Basic Information page and click Continue.
    6. On the confirmation page, click Sign in and locate.
    7. Click T-Mobile FamilyWhere on the Welcome page.

     

    Add a line

    From your mobile device:

    1. Open the Familywhere app and tap Settings.
    2. Select the menu in the top right corner.
    3. Tap My Settings, then My Family.
    4. Tap Add Family Member and select the line.

     

    From your computer:

    1. Go to My T-Mobile and log in to your account.
    2. Click Benefits, then FamilyWhere, and then Manage..
    3. Click Settings and Add a family member.
    4. Select and name the line to be added to the account, then click Add.

     

    Remove a line

    From your mobile device:

    1. Open the Familywhere app and tap Settings.
    2. Select the menu in the top right corner.
    3. Tap My Settings, then My Family.
    4. Select the line to be removed, then tap Remove from your FamilyWhere account, and finally, Remove.

     

    From your computer:

    1. Go to My T-Mobile and log in to your account.
    2. Click Benefits, then FamilyWhere, and then Manage.
    3. Click Settings and Remove a family member.
    4. Click Remove next to the line you want to remove and then confirm by clicking Remove again.

     

    Change email address

    From your mobile device:

    1. Go to My T-Mobile and log in to your account.
    2. Open the Familywhere app and tap Settings, then My Settings.
    3. Select the menu in the top right corner.
    4. Tap My Email, enter your email address and tap OK.

     

    From your computer:

    1. Go to My T-Mobile and log in to your account.
    2. Click Benefits, then FamilyWhere, and then Manage.
    3. Click Settings and then Change email.
    4. Enter the new email address and click Save.

     

    Locate a line after initial sign in

    The app automatically locates all lines on the list of locatable devices upon sign in. To locate a line after initial sign in, click on the name of the device at the top of the screen.

     

    Locate a family member

    From your mobile device:

    1. Go to My T-Mobile and log in to your account.
    2. Select the menu in the top right corner.
    3. Click Benefits, then FamilyWhere, and then Manage.
    4. Click the mobile number you wish to locate.

     

    From your computer:

    1. Go to My T-Mobile and log in to your account.
    2. Click Benefits, then FamilyWhere, and then Manage.
    3. Click the mobile number you wish to locate.

     

    Send a check-in message

    1. Open the Familywhere app and tap Check In.
    2. Enter the recipient and message content and click Send.

     

    Access the check-in details from a message

    1. Open the message.
    2. Click the URL included in the text.

     

    Canceling the subscription

    From your mobile device:

    1. Go to My T-Mobile and log in to your account.
    2. Select the menu in the top right corner.
    3. Click Benefits, then FamilyWhere, and then Manage.
    4. Click Settings, then Help.
    5. Under My Settings, select Unsubscribe.
    6. Click Unsubscribe from T-Mobile FamilyWhere and confirm by clicking Unsubscribe again.

     

    From your computer:

    1. Open the Familywhere app and tap the menu icon.
    2. Tap My Settings, then Cancel Account.
    3. Review the cancellation information and tap OK.
    4. Review the final instructions.

     

    Find location history

    To find the location history, open the Familywhere app and tap History.
