Samsung and T-Mobile plan to release a software update for the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G that updates the device software to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The dates for this future update are TBD, but this document will be updated when details become available. See Software updates for Android for more information.
Beginning July 16, the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G will have a software update to Android version 2.3.6 / Software T769UVLF4 via OTA. The update will also be available via Samsung Kies on July 17. This update improves performance and stability.
You can update in two ways:
Beginning July 16, follow the steps above to Download update from T-Mobile.
T-Mobile and Samsung will not send you a software update.
Devices with non-T-Mobile software versions are out of warranty and do not receive updates.

You may request the update from the update servers, even if you have not received the Over the Air (OTA) update. To download or check for updates, follow these steps:
Note: If the Software has been pushed to your phone, you will received prompts to download. If it has not, you will receive a 'No Firmware' message.
Select the desired Language and Location, then click Next.
Read the license agreement, check the box for "I accept..." and click Next.
Kies will begin the installation. No action is required.
Important: Verify you have backed up all of your data, including the contents of the internal (non-removable) SD card, to prevent unnecessary data loss.
