Add a person or device to your account

Adding a person or device to your account is easy. Let us show you how.

 

Only the Primary Account Holder and those with Full Access can add lines to an account, and the account must be current. Find the right plan for you and see how much a new line will be based on your plan.

 

Note: To add a mobile Internet device, please contact Customer Care by calling 1-800-937-8997, or by dialing 611 from your T-Mobile phone.

Add a line with a new device
  1. Log in to the T-Mobile app or My T-Mobile.
  2. (App only) Tap SHOP, and then tap Add a line.
  3. (My T-Mobile only) Click Add a person or device to my account in the “I want to…" section.
  4. Select buy a new phone, or watches, tablets, and more (for watches, tablets, and more, please contact Customer Care by calling 1-800-937-8997, or by dialing 611 from your T-Mobile phone.
  5. Click Choose a phone.
  6. Select your device.
  7. Select your color, memory variant, and pricing option, and click Add to a new line.
  8. Click Yes, I want to trade in a device if you would like to trade in a device. Otherwise, click No thanks, continue to cart.
  9. Enter the trade-in device information (dial *#06# to get your phone's IMEI, or find it in phone settings), then click Continue.
  10. Click Trade in this phone.
  11. Click Yes, protect my phone, or click No, I’ll take my chances to opt-out of insurance.
  12. Confirm your order details and pricing, then click Continue to Shipping.
  13. Select your shipping method and review the address section. Edit the address if necessary, then click Continue to payment.
  14. Enter your payment details and click the Customer Agreement box to confirm consent of the T-Mobile Terms and Conditions
  15. Click Place order.
  16. Sign your EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) agreement if you are financing your device with T-Mobile.
  17. Click Submit order.
Add a line with your own device
  1. Log in to the T-Mobile app or My T-Mobile.
  2. (App only) Tap SHOP, and then tap Add a line.

  3. (My T-Mobile only) Click Add a person or device to my account in the “I want to…" section.

  4. Select Use my own phone.
  5. Select Continue.
  6. Confirm your order details and pricing, then select Continue to Shipping.

  7. Select your shipping method and review the address section. Edit the address if necessary, then select Continue to payment.

  8. Enter your payment details and click on the Customer Agreement box to confirm consent of the T-Mobile Terms and Conditions.

  9. Select Place order.
