Bluetooth - Turn on and pair

 

How to turn on and pair with a Bluetooth device

 

To turn on and pair a Bluetooth connection with another device, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Navigation Wheel up to scroll to Settings.
  2. Select Manage Connections.
  3. Scroll to Bluetooth.
  4. Select Turn On.

  5. Select Settings.
  6. Scroll to and select Bluetooth.
  7. Select Bluetooth again.
  8. Select Add new device. The device searches for Bluetooth devices.
  9. Scroll to the desired device.

  11. Enter the passkey, if necessary.
  12. Select Next.

How to turn off Bluetooth

Access Internet / Enter URL

 

How to access the Internet or enter a URL

 

To access the Internet or enter a URL on the mobile browser, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Navigation Wheel down to scroll to Internet.

  2. Select Browse Web.
  3. Select Menu.
  4. Scroll to and select Address Bar.
  5. Delete the existing URL.
  6. Enter the URL of the website you want to visit.
  7. Select Go.

 

Access t-zones

 

How to access t-zones

 

To access t-zones, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Navigation Wheel down to scroll to Internet.

Browser Messages

WAP push messages (browser messages) are not supported

  To clear the mobile browser cache, cookies, or history, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Navigation Wheel down to scroll to Internet.
  2. Select Browse Web.
  3. Select Menu.
  4. To clear the cache, scroll to and select Tools.
  5. Scroll to and select Options.
  6. Scroll to and select Memory.
  7. Scroll to Temporary Files, Cookies, or History.
  8. Select Clear.
  9. Select Yes to confirm.

 

Go forward / back a page

 

How to navigate back and forward on a Web site

 

To navigate back to the previous Web site or forward to the next Web site, follow these steps:

 

  • To go forward a page, select Menu, Forward.
  • To go back a page, press the Back key.

Wi-Fi

Add from available network

 

To add a new Wi-Fi network from available networks, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Navigation Wheel up to scroll to Settings.
  2. Select Manage Connections.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Wi-Fi.
  5. Select Available Networks.
    Note: If Wi-Fi was turned off, the device displays a message that it is turning on.
  6. Scroll to the desired network.
  7. Select Connect.
    Note: If necessary, type the Network Key and select Finish.
  8. Enter a new profile name and then press Save, or press Save to use the default name.

 

Add manually

 

To manually add a new Wi-Fi network, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Navigation Wheel up to scroll to Settings.
  2. Select Manage Connections.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Wi-Fi.
  5. Scroll to and select Add New Network.
  6. Select Create Manually.
  7. In the SSID field, enter the SSID.
  8. Scroll down to Network Type.
  9. Scroll left or right to select Internet or Private/Work Network.
  10. Scroll down and select the appropriate check boxes for:
    • This is a hidden network
    • Inter-AP handover
    • Automatically connect to this network.
  11. Select Next.
  12. Clear the The Key is automatically provided check box, if necessary.
  13. Scroll up to Authentication.
  14. Scroll left or right to select Open, Shared, WPA, WPS-PSK, WPA2, or WPA2-PSK.
  15. Scroll to Data Encryption.
  16. Scroll left or right to select Disable, TKIP, or AES.
  17. Scroll down to Network Key.
  18. Enter the network key.
  19. Select Next.
    Note: The default key index is 1.  Enter the key index if it is anything other than the default.
  20. Scroll down to EAP type.
    Note: If necessary, select the Use IEEE 802.11x network access control check box.
  21. Scroll left or right to select PEAP or Smart Card or Certificate.
  22. Select Finish.
  23. Enter the desired profile name and then select Save, or select Save to use the default name.
  24. Select Done.

 

Delete Network

 

How to delete a Wi-Fi network from the handset

 

To delete a Wi-Fi network, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Navigation Wheel up to scroll to Settings.
  2. Select Manage Connections.
  3. Select Settings.

  4. Scroll to and select Wi-Fi.
  5. Scroll to and select Saved Networks.

  6. Scroll to the network you want to delete.
  7. Select Menu.
  8. Scroll to and select Delete.
  9. Select OK to confirm.
  10. Select OK again.

 

Edit network details

 

To edit the network details for an existing Wi-Fi profile, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Navigation Wheel up to Settings.
  2. Select Manage Connections.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Wi-Fi.
  5. Scroll to and select Saved Networks.
  6. Scroll to the network.
  7. Select Menu.
  8. Scroll to and select Edit Details.
  9. Edit network details.
  10. Select Finish.

 

Get security key

To use the Get Security Key feature to automatically authenticate with a T-Mobile router, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Navigation Wheel up to scroll to Settings.
  2. Select Manage Connections.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Wi-Fi.
  5. Scroll to and select Get Security Key.
  6. Select Next.
  7. On your T-Mobile router, press the button with the key icon.
  8. On your phone, select Connect.
  9. Select Save.

 

Hotspot – find location

 

To locate a T-Mobile HotSpot, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Navigation Wheel down to Internet.
  2. Select Browse Web.
  3. Select Menu.
  4. Select Favorites.
  5. Scroll to and select HotSpot locator.
  6. Scroll down to Street Address or Landmark.
  7. Enter the street address for the area.
  8. Scroll down to City.
  9. Enter the City.
  10. Scroll down to State or province.
  11. Enter the state or province.
  12. Scroll down to Postal code.
  13. Enter the postal code.
  14. Scroll down and select Search radius.
  15. Scroll to the desired distance.
  16. Select Done.
  17. Scroll down and select Submit.

 

Hotspot – log in

 

To log in to a T-Mobile HotSpot, follow these steps:

 

Note: Wi-Fi must be turned on to locate available HotSpot locations. See Turn On / Turn Off Wi-Fi. It is not necessary to login to use Wi-Fi calling.

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Start.
  2. Scroll to and select Wi-Fi.
  3. Scroll to and select HotSpot Status.
  4. Select Login.
    Note: If a HotSpot is not available, you may only select Dismiss.
  5. Enter your username and password.
    Note: If desired, scroll to and select the Disable HotSpot Login Utility check box.
  6. Select Ok.

 

Locate MAC address

Locating the Wi-Fi MAC address is not supported

Scan for available networks and connect

 

How to scan for and connect to available Wi-Fi networks

 

To scan for and connect to available Wi-Fi networks, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Navigation Wheel up to scroll to Settings.
  2. Select Manage Connections.
  3. Select Settings.

  4. Scroll to and select Wi-Fi.
  5. Select Available Networks.
      Note: If Wi-Fi was turned off, a message appears letting you know that Wi-Fi is now turned on.

  6. Scroll to the desired network.
  7. Select Connect.

  8. If necessary, enter the Network Key.
  9. Select Finish.
  10. Enter a new profile name, if desired.
  11. Select Save.

 

Turn on / turn off Wi-Fi

 

To turn on or off Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Navigation Wheel up to scroll to Settings.
  2. Select Manage Connections.
  3. Scroll down to Wi-Fi
  4. Select Turn On or Turn Off.
