Answer call

How to answer or receive a call

 

To answer an incoming call, slide the device open or select Answer.

 

Dial - Contact in phone book

 

How to make or dial an outgoing call

 

To make a call, follow these steps:

 

Using the keypad

 

  1. From the Home screen, enter the phone number.
    Note: To add a + sign  for international country codes, press and hold 0 (zero).
  2. Press the green Send key.

 

Using the phone book

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Contacts.
  2. Scroll to the desired contact.
  3. Scroll right or left to select the number type.
  4. Press the green Send key.

 

Using speed dial

 

  1. From the Home screen, press and hold the number key for the desired contact.

 

End call

How to end, hang up, or disconnect a call

 

  1. To end a call, close the slide or press the red End key.

 

Hold call

 

How to put a call on hold and return to it

 

To put a call on hold and return to it, follow these steps:

 

To hold

 

  1. While on an active call, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Hold.

 

To return

 

  1. Select Unhold.

 

Mute call

To turn on or turn off mute during a call, follow these steps:

To turn on or turn off the speakerphone, follow these steps:

 

  1. While a call is in progress, select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select either Speakerphone On or Speakerphone Off.

Caller ID

Outgoing - Enable

 

How to turn on or enable outgoing caller ID

 

To enable outgoing caller ID so people you call can see your number, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Start.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.

  5. At Provide my caller ID to, scroll left or right to Everyone.
  6. Select Done.
  7. Select Done again.

Outgoing ID - Restrict

 

How to restrict, turn off, or disable outgoing caller ID

 

To restrict outgoing caller ID so people you call cannot see your number, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Start.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Select Phone.
  4. Scroll to and select Caller ID.
  5. At Provide my caller ID to, scroll left or right to No One or Only my contacts.
  6. Select Done.
  7. Select Done again.
  8. Select Done again.

 

Set Caller Picture ID

 

How to add or set up picture caller ID for specific callers on incoming calls

 

You can assign picture ID to contacts stored in the phone book, but not to those stored on the SIM card. To assign a picture to a contact, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Contacts.
  2. Scroll to the desired contact.
  3. Select Menu.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Scroll to and select Picture.
  6. Scroll to and select a picture or select Camera to capture a new picture.
  7. Select Done.

 

Set caller ringer ID

 

How to add or set up ringer caller ID for specific callers on incoming calls

Call forwarding

Forward all calls (unconditional forwarding)

 

How to set or activate unconditional call forwarding to forward all calls

 

Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) immediately forwards all calls to another phone number without allowing the handset to ring. To activate unconditional call forwarding, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Start.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Select Phone.

  5. Select Unconditional.
  6. At Forward voice calls, scroll left or right to select Custom.
  7. Scroll to Phone number.
  8. Enter the desired phone number.
  9. Select Done.

 

Forward some calls (conditional call forwarding)

 

How to set or activate conditional call forwarding (no reply, busy, unavailable) and seconds to delay

 

Call Forwarding Conditional (CFC) forwards incoming calls to another phone number if you do not or cannot answer them. To activate conditional call forwarding, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Start.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Select Phone.

  5. Select No Reply, Busy, or Unavailable.
  6. At Forward voice calls, scroll left or right to select Custom.
  7. Scroll down to Phone number.
  8. Enter the desired number.

Forward to voicemail or Cancel call forwarding

 

How to turn on call forwarding to voicemail

 

When call forwarding is cancelled from the device, the default voice mail forwarding is activated on the network. In order to cancel all user determined call forwarding settings and revert back to normal conditional voice mail forwarding, follow the below steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Start.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Select Phone.

DTMF tones

Turning on or turning off DTMF tones (touch tones) is not supported

Fixed dialing

 

How to disable fixed dialing

 

T-Mobile does not support fixed dialing. To disable fixed dialing if you have enabled it, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Start.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Select Phone.

  4. Scroll to and select Fixed Dialing.
  5. Clear the check box.
  6. Enter the PIN2 code. The default PIN2 code is 5678.
  7. Select Done.
  8. Select Done.
  9. Select OK.

 

Phone line selection

 

Changing phone line selection is not supported

To raise or lower the volume of the earpiece while on a call, press the Volume up or down key on the left side of your device.

Call timer

Reset timer

 

How to reset or clear call timers

 

Call timers approximate the time you have used on phone calls. To reset call timers, follow these steps:

 

Note: Call timers do not accurately show how much time T-Mobile bills. T-Mobile charges for connected calls and rounds up to the nearest minute. Call timers count all calls regardless if they connect and count in seconds.

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Start.
  2. Scroll to and select Call History.
  3. Select Menu.
  4. Scroll to and select View Timers.
  5. Select Menu again.
  6. Select Reset Timers.
  7. Select Yes.
  8. Select Done.

  • To answer the incoming call, select Answer or press the green Send key.

To speak privately with one caller in a conference call and put the other callers on hold, follow these steps:

 

  1. During a conference call, select Menu, Private.

To use voice-activated dialing to call a contact, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Start.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Shortcut Key.
  4. Select Short press or Long press.
  5. Scroll to and select Voice Command.
  6. Select Done.
  7. Press the Shortcut key.
  8. Say one of the options:
    • Call [contact] to call a contact whose phone number is stored on your phone.
    • Call [contact] at/on [location] to call a contact at a specific phone number.
    • Dial [number] to dial a phone number.
    • Callback to return the last call received.
    • Redial to repeat the last call made.

To retrieve voicemail messages, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Contacts.
  2. Enter Voicemail.
  3. When the Voicemail entry appears, press the green Send key.

To set the voicemail server number, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select Start.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Select Phone
  4. Scroll to and select Call Options.
  5. Scroll to Voice mail number.
