To view incoming or outgoing calls in the call log, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to and select Phone.
  3. Press the Menu key.
  4. Scroll to and select Options.
  5. Scroll to and select General Options.
  6. Scroll to Phone List View and press the trackpad.
  7. Select one of the following options:
    • Most Recent
    • Most Used
    • Name
    • Call Log
  8. Press the Menu key and select Save.

 

Mute incoming ringtone

To mute the ringtone or an incoming call, press either Volume key (on the right side of the device).

Caller ID

Incoming ID

 

How incoming caller ID works.

 

Incoming caller ID shows information about incoming calls on the display screen. It automatically shows the caller's name and phone number if it is in the phone book. When the information is not in the address book, it only displays the caller's number. It is not possible to disable this feature on the device.

 

Outgoing ID - Enable

 

How to turn on or enable outgoing caller ID.

 

To enable outgoing caller ID so people you call can see your number, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Phone icon.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Scroll to and select Options.
  4. Select General Options.
  5. Scroll to Restrict My Identity.
  6. Scroll to and select Never.
  7. Press the Menu key.
  8. Select Save.

 

Outgoing ID - Restrict

 

How to restrict, turn off, or disable outgoing caller ID.

 

To restrict outgoing caller ID so people you call cannot see your number, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Phone icon.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Scroll to and select Options.
  4. Select General Options.
  5. Scroll to and select Restrict My Identity.
  6. Scroll to and select Always.
  7. Press the Menu key.
  8. Select Save.

 

Picture ID - Set

 

How to add or set up picture caller ID for specific callers on incoming calls.

 

You can assign picture ID to contacts stored in the address book, but not to those stored on the SIM card. To assign a picture to a contact, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to and select the Contacts icon.
  3. Scroll to the contact.
  4. Press the Menu key.
  5. Scroll to and select Add Picture.
  6. Scroll to and select the folder that contains the picture.
  7. Scroll to and select the picture.
  8. Press the Menu key.
  9. Select Crop and Save.
    • The device displays Picture set.
  10. Select OK.

 

Ringer ID - Set

 

How to add or set up ringer caller ID for specific callers on incoming calls.

 

You can assign ringer ID to contacts stored in the phone book, but not to those stored on the SIM card. To assign a ringer to a contact, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Contacts icon.

  4. Scroll to and select Add Custom Ring Tone.
  5. Scroll to and select the folder that contains the tone.

Cancel call forwarding

 

How to turn on call forwarding to voicemail.

 

Voicemail forwarding forwards incoming calls to your voicemail so that callers can leave a message. To activate voicemail forwarding, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Phone icon.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Scroll to and select Options.
  4. Scroll to and select Call Forwarding.
  5. Scroll to and select Forward All Calls.
  6. Scroll to and select the forwarding number.
  7. Scroll to and select Do Not Forward.
  8. Press the Menu key.
  9. Select Save.

 

Forward all calls (unconditional forwarding)

 

How to set or activate unconditional call forwarding to forward all calls.

Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) immediately forwards all calls to another phone number without allowing the handset to ring. To activate unconditional call forwarding, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Phone icon.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Scroll to and select Options.
  4. Scroll to and select Call Forwarding.
  5. Scroll to Forward All Calls and press the touchpad.
  6. Scroll to and select Do Not Forward.
  7. Scroll to and select +18056377249 (the voicemail server number).
    Note: If you wish to select a different number, select one of the following options:
    • New Number
      1. Press the Menu key.
      2. Enter the new number.
      3. Press the touchpad.
      4. Press the Escape key.
      5. Scroll to Forward All Calls and press the touchpad.
      6. Scroll to and select Do Not Forward.
      7. Scroll to and select the number you just added.
    • Edit Numbers
      1. Press the Menu key.
      2. Scroll to and select Edit Numbers.
      3. Scroll to and select the number you wish to edit.
      4. Scroll to and select Edit.
      5. Enter the desired number.
      6. Press the touchpad.
      7. Press the Escape key.
      8. Scroll to Forward All Calls and press the touchpad.
      9. Scroll to and select Do Not Forward.
      10. Scroll to and select the number you just edited.
      11. Press the Menu key.
      12. Select Save.

 

Forward some calls (conditional forwarding)

 

How to set or activate conditional call forwarding (no reply, busy, unavailable) and seconds to delay.

 

Call Forwarding Conditional (CFC) forwards incoming calls to another phone number if you do not or cannot answer them. To activate conditional call forwarding, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Phone icon.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Scroll to and select Options.
  4. Scroll to and select Call Forwarding.
  5. Scroll to and select Forward Unanswered calls.
  6. Scroll and select If Busy.
  7. Scroll to and select Do Not Forward or the desired forwarding number.
  8. Scroll to and select If No Reply.
  9. Scroll to and select Do Not Forward or the desired forwarding number.
  10. Scroll to and select If Not Reachable.
  11. Scroll to and select Do Not Forward or the desired forwarding number.
  12. Press the Menu key.
  13. Select Save.

T-Mobile does not support fixed dialing. To disable fixed dialing if you have enabled it, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Phone icon.
  2. Press and the Menu key.
  3. Scroll to and select Options.
  4. Scroll to and select FDN Phone List.
  5. Press the Menu key.
  6. Scroll to and select Disable FDN Mode.
  7. Enter the PIN2 code.
    Note: The default PIN2 code is 5678.
  8. Press the touchpad.

  2. Scroll to and select Advanced….
  3. Scroll to one of the following options:

    • Vibrate
    • Quiet
    • Normal
    • Phone Only
  4. Press the Menu key.
  5. Select Edit.
  6. Scroll to and select the desired alert.
  7. Scroll to and select Volume.
  8. Select one of the following options:
    • Mute
    • Low
    • Medium
    • High
    • Escalating
  9. Press the Menu key.

Call timers approximate the time you have used on phone calls. To reset call timers, follow these steps:

Note: Call timers do not accurately show how much time T-Mobile bills. T-Mobile charges for connected calls and rounds up to the nearest minute. Call timers count all calls regardless if they connect and count in seconds.

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Phone icon.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Scroll to and select Status.
  4. Scroll to and select Last Call or Total Calls.
  5. Scroll to and select Clear Timer or Clear All Timers.
  6. Press the Menu key.
  7. Select Save.

  1. From the Home screen, scroll to and select the Phone icon.

  3. Scroll to and select Options.
  4. Scroll to and select Call Waiting.
  5. Select Call Waiting Enabled.
  6. Scroll to and select Yes or No.
  7. Press the Menu key.

To speak privately with one caller in a conference call and put the other callers on hold, follow these steps:

  1. During a conference call, press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to and select Split Call.
  3. Scroll to and select the number that you want to speak to privately.

Place the first call before using call conferencing. To add additional callers to the conference, follow these steps:

  3. Perform one of the following actions:

    2. Press the green Send key.
  4. To enter a new number:
    1. Enter the phone number.

    To call a phone book contact:
    1. Press the Menu key.
    2. Select Call From Contacts.
    3. Select the desired contact.
    4. When all calls are connected, press the Menu key.

Assign a voice name to a contact

 

How to set up or add voice-activated dialing to an existing contact.

 

It is not necessary to assign a voice name to a contact. When you say any contact's name, the device automatically scans your address book for a match.

To use voice-activated dialing to call a contact, follow these steps:

From the shortcut

  1. From the Home screen, press Left Convenience key (on the side of the device).
  2. Say Call and then immediately say the name of a contact or a phone number.
  3. Say Yes to call the contact.
    Note: If the device cannot identify which contact you are referring to, it may provide you with several options to select.

 

From the menu
  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to and select the Applications icon.
  3. Scroll to and select Voice Dialing.
  4. Say Call and then immediately say the name of a contact or a phone number.
  5. Say Yes to call the contact.
    Note: If the device cannot identify which contact you are referring to, it may provide you with several options to select.
